Is Gronk gonna play in the Falcons game? If not, when?

I dont think anyone questions the Gronk injury being an 'important open issue'. But I think the point he is making is that making threads asking posters on the this forums is not going get any answers. No one knows except BB . All the rumblings and murmurs dont make it a fact and no one here has any deep inside knowledge .
I dunno. Seems easy just not to click on a thread when you don't care for the topic.

I don't mean to be defensive. I just always find the "do we really need to discuss this?" comment to be bizarre. If you don't want to discuss it, don't.

Also, I wasn't looking for speculation. I just would like to have a place where I can go and read new information on Gronk. Maybe it's a Reiss tweet. Maybe it's Tom Curran. Maybe someone saw Gronk at practice.

There's a better chance of Tom and Giselle 69ing on TV at halftime on Sunday than us knowing Gronk's injury status.

not gonna lie, I'd watch that....

How much do I love this guy????? :D :D :D

Mary Paoletti @Mary_Paoletti
Gronkowski asked if he was close to playing vs. Tampa: "I was inactive," he stated. Then laughed for a solid 2 minutes.

Even if he comes back, don't expect crazy stats and help right away. He's probably gonna be the 2011 Super Bowl Gronk for a game or 2.

Boston media will spin this as Gronk making fun of the head coach ;)

What?

That Superbowl he had a bad high ankle sprain. When he plays the Patriots will be saying he's healthy. If he gets open Brady will find him.

Are we going to have a thread posted here every week asking members here who have no idea of when Gronk is going to return when he is going to return until he actually does?

We've both been here long enough to know that that's exactly what's going to happen.

Still better than those "Is THIS the week that Ochocinco FINALLY puts it all together?" threads from a couple years ago.

History indicates the Patriots will not say this and, if they did, it would likely be false.

Expect more like first month of the season last year Gronk. Last year, he was still feeling some lingering affects of his sprained ankle at the beginning of the season. He was good, but not close to Gronk good. He will be dealing with different limitations this time around, but I think he will make an immediate impact.

But with the state of the TE position the first three weeks, I think I could suit up and make an impact at TE for the Pats.

Wouldn't be shocked if Gronk and Amendola played Sunday.

Then the choice is: who doesn't start in a 3 WR 1 TE set? Edelman, Thompkins or Dobson?

My guess would be that Dobson plays most of the snaps, and Edelman and Thompkins split snaps for the most part.

Thompkins is still getting more playing time than Dobson, but that could change after the coaches review the game film. I thought Dobson outplayed Thompkins, but I didn't watch the All 22.

Interested to see how effective gronk is without another complimenting TE. He is going to be doubled and tripled for sure.

That would be a huge win even if Brady doesn't throw him a pass, for argument's sake.

That kind of focus on Gronk would make everyone else more available.

Gronk's biggest games of the season last year were without Hernandez playing.

The change in TE coverage should make hoomanawanui and Sudsfeld more comfortable with lesser roles. His run blocking will make Ridley effective again.

The WRs have most of the negative attention right now, but the TEs have played worse, in my opinion.

Exactly what I was going to say. The Redzone offense will bolster the minute he walks on the field.

I hope Gronk playes the week we need him back, even if he only plays a little time it would be better then not haveing him on the sideline.

Supposedly 60/40 to play, just heard it on 985
