GO PATS! Here's some interesting items from NFLN this morning

1. Willie McGuinest said that BB needs to go and get a player "in the first round" or in free agency to add to the mix the Pats have. He said it's not always enough to get guys in the 2nd round, 3rd round, etc. So interesting thought from a former player who thinks they may not have the exact right personnel just yet. We've touched on it here, but clearly a respected former player sees it the same way, so it's probably worth noting.

2. Warren Sapp predicted 3 sacks on Brady, 2 INTs by Brady, and a TB win. That to me is the best omen we've had all week for a victory. GO PATS!

Also, I don't always watch tv Sunday Morning

But when I do, I hate Marshall Faulk

On offense or defense?

Because as it stands the only position he should add to the mix next year on defense is a better safety than Gregory, a DT partner for Vince (which he may have in Armstead, have to wait on that) and maybe a replacement for Talib if he leaves.

And I think Willie forgot that Bill went and got 2 players in the first round last year.

I don't know that he forgot. I think he was generalizing and speaking about a need to get another blue chip player in there. He mentioned specifically that a Welker isn't that easy to find so sometimes you have to look more toward the top than for a hidden gem kind of player.

It wasn't that harsh, I wish I could just post video because he said it in a way that I can't communicate it on these forums.

Well, everything's ready at my place. TV, sound system and dish all up & running, food ready, and drinks all set to go.

I plan on starting to couchgate right shortly.

Yesterday was a great day as Alabama won again ROLL TIDE! and a Patriots win would make the weekend just that much better. :rocker:

GO PATS!

I want to see gronk in the red zone spiking 3 TD receptions!!

Well no gronk. Need sudfeld doing spikes then.

Pats offense has been inept on third dwn and in red zone against two poor teams...tb has allowed 18 & 16 pts...then how the heck are pats fans predicting NE scoring 24, 27, 30 pts today?

No Gronk, officially.
Mike Reiss ‏@MikeReiss 1m
Also inactive: OL Will Svitek, RB Leon Washington, WR Matthew Slater, LB Steve Beuharnais, DT Chris Jones.

Mike Reiss ‏@MikeReiss 1m
TE Rob Gronkowski and WR Danny Amendola are inactive today.

Maybe we'll get Washington returning kicks though, which, y'know, was the reason I think most of us will agree he was brought in here...

Edit: And I can't read, Washington inactive. More of Blount.

At least Sudfeld is active.

Brandon Bolden is active. Perhaps he could be in line for some KR work.

Inactive for the Bucs are QB Dan Orlovsky, CB Mike Adams, DE Steven Means, TE Luke Stocker, TE Tom Crabtree, OG Gabe Carimi and DT Derek Landri.
Carl Nicks is active this week, so I expect to see a heavy dose of Doug Martin and less of Josh Freeman pretending that he's a QB.

i'm ready too...i love 1 pm games...here it will be 7 pm...perfect...

a small break only for the dinner (this evening i will eat brasato, nice !)

AVANTI PATRIOTI
GO PATS

Field Yates ‏@FieldYates 5m
By being active today, Ed Reed collects a $63,500 roster bonus. Danny Amendola (inactive) misses out on $31,250 for the 2nd straight week.

GO PATS ! Another close one i think ,,but as long as we win thats all that matters with no injuries please ! Good luck to all watching. Peace.

I'm beginning to think that Washington was cut because of some injury inhibiting him being 100% but not serious, and was re-signed in the hopes it would heal in a week or so. Perhaps it's still healing yet he's still "too slow" to be a viable presence. Otherwise, why is he on the 53?

The major problem is that without Gronk and Vereen, TFB has no viable "check down" option. Edes would fill that role were he not by default the go to guy and covered by the Revis blanket. No check down puts Brady at risk for more sacks. Expect a lot of thrown away pass attempts today which the hysterical Hannah's will interpret as Tommy Boy being past his prime.

I'm not convinced it's a lingering forearm issue, If I had to guess, he hasn't been able to hit the gym as hard as he wanted to and is taking the time he needs to build his strength back up to where he feels he'll be effective.

A few teams were sniffing around Washington when he was released. He had a couple of visits and this must have prompted the Patriots to act quickly but he was released in the first place with the knowledge that his injury would limit Washington a fair amount early on.
