Has anyone here tried out for an nfl team?

I personally know people who have played for numerous teams for the NFL and the MLB. Whatever that means.

I have no idea what you new signature pic has to do with football or the Patriots.

But it works.

I caught a cold once.

The most exercise I usually get is jumping to conclusions.

Uncle Rico is reportedly getting a tryout any day now. Link

I tried out as a free agent in a pre-camp open tryout in 1970....lasted the afternoon. I remember clearly this one guy, about 5'6" 140 pounds ....I asked him what position he wanted to play if he made it...he told me with a straight face.."linebacker"...heh...I think there were at least 150 guys who showed up...and everybody went home. There were some pretty good athletes that tried out too. Rommie Loudd was a real nice guy with everybody...the friendly Turk...he told me I had pretty good hands and asked me if I played basketball...when I told him ,yes, I was playing college ball at BU he said he figured that, since my 40 time was so turtle like...and I THOUGHT I was pretty quick in those days.

Well, Bill and I try to keep things hush hush, you know?

With your arm strength, you'd make a good addition to the Patriots roster.

That throw was harder than I made it look. Nephew's gotta get his hands up though, 'stead of just sitting on his coccyx. Damn rookies.

Sadly not, I tried out at college but being in Scotland not easy to get in. I know a guy who is a back up QB in the NFL. And my father use to be good friends with Scott Pioli.

I am really good at Madden

You know, I might have the wrong impression, but I'm pretty sure I'd pay money to see Joker and Kontradiction go at it in a full pads, full contact drill or two.

Not much of a contributor here but I try to read these everyday. Was hoping to see an old aquaintance that lives around Providence. He played for GB and KC but didn't get much action.

Nope. The closest I came to such an event was, I have a first cousin who was a football star in Walpole as a kid and played very well at Holy Cross.

Good friend was a star quarterback for Concord. They only played HOME games and there are no public records of the team. Seriously, went by the name Beebie! Got to be 40-45 years ago!

he's too young and fast for me, I'm afraid...you see, I went from turtle -like in my salad years to cement swimmer now that I've got dirt younger than me in my yard...

when I was a teenager we used to play street corner ball...all the different corners in the city would get together and play without pads...full tackle. The Cranston Fire Department would station a rescue squad at the field every Saturday....really, I had to have rocks in my head...it was real murder ball.

I've gotten so many injuries from doing that. Whenever I have the ball, I can't help but run right at someone.

You're talking about the Oklahoma drill. :D

Not sure if you said this in jest, but I would be absolutely in for something like this

That's actually a great idea. I'd be very up for that.
