Week 3 TNF: Kansas City Chiefs at Philadelphia Eagles

Re: Thursday Night Football:Eagles vs. Chiefs

I didn't see the other thread...please merge....

Nice throw by Vick, but he got destroyed by Johnson. And that's the problem with him, if he keeps getting exposed to hits like that, it won't be long before he's injured.

Alex Smith - the best check-down artist in the NFL. His mediocre arm talent is severely limiting the Chiefs offense.

Good lord...you'd think they'd actually use the player they just paid major money to. Of course the main objective is to win, so whatever--but that signing is looking kind of strange at the moment, especially at that pay scale.

Hmm, going for 2. strange

Demps returns kickoff 55 yards

At least it isn't the Demps that we gave to TB. That would have drawn some responses!

Chip Kelly is a bit strange.

Great potential, but he'll need to learn from some mistakes a bit this year.

Agreed.

It's pretty easy to shut down the Chiefs passing attack - just plug-in Smith's passing lanes on the short and intermediate routes knowing he has no ability to throw the deep ball.

It's kinda like the reverse of the Patriots of the past few years, until now of course. Brady couldn't go downfield because he had no one who could get down the field. Smith has plethora of deep threats, but zero arm strength to actually utilize them. They'll never be an elite squad on O while he's quarterbacking them.

What can Chip honestly do to teach Vick how not to turn over the ball? Who hasn't tried?

I get that he's trying, but at this point in his career, too many bad habits. Too late.

They're going to need that D to play above and beyond to win with Vick.

This Eagles O-Line is embarrassing. They've had stupid mistakes like that all last year IIRC

Oh, Pat Chung. Forgot about him.

Glad he's no longer a Patriot.

Chiefs OL is pretty brutal.

Vick is basically that super hot chick who was fun in the sack and then would burn your house down. People get enamored by all the amazing stuff he does but he ***** up when it comes to the most fundamental of things and it negates everything good he does.

Feeling better about our O line when watching this entire Chiefs line get manhandled by 3 Eagles.

Johnson

That's a hell of a start to your defense.

I'm really hoping the Chiefs can find a way to split with Denver. It's annoying to see Peyton leave one cakewalk division just as it becomes challenging for another cakewalk division.

Nice ******* move by Avery.

Nice miss by old pal Chung on that 51 yarder.

Chiefs gonna put it in the endzone here.

About time they caught them. Very nice run Avery.

You mean brutal as in brutally bad right? Cause so far Smith hasn't been able to buy half a second.

They've got Patriots-style players (athletic, undersized) playing in an offensive line system designed for behemoths. On top of that, the center, Hudson, is coming off an injury and had played something like 5 games prior to this year, and they've got the rookie at RT.

It'll take the line time to gel, and Reid will still probably look to replace something like 5 of his current OL with bigger players in the next year or two.
