Trent Richardson traded to colts for 1st rd pick

I'm not a fan of Richardson, but I give the Colts props for the balls to make the trade. If this pans out, that's one hell of an offense.

Wow. I guess the Browns weren't impressed with his work or the first round pick was THAT valuable. I'm confused with Cleveland's logic.

New GM in town. He (and his staff) have no connection to Richardson except that they inherited him on the team.

Richardson was regularly facing 8 in the box with the safeties playing close. No defense they played respected Weeden. This is huge for the Colts. It's also a good move for the Browns, provided they don't blow both picks. That said, Irsay is a clown.

Until proven otherwise I suppose I'll give the Browns credit for sticking to their convictions that Richardson was not in their long term plans, and this is better for the team in the long run - even though they know it's going to be an extremely unpopular decision with their fans and their media.

Great move from the Browns. I mean Trent Richardson wasn't ever going to be worth the selection and the 2012 class had really only Luck, RG3 and Kalil as sure things.

But honestly how horrible has that 1st round been for the Browns? Trading up for Richardson, drafting Weeden in the first round.

The colts didn't look anything special so they could get a great pick in a very strong class. I really like the move.

Browns have double picks in rds 1, 3, and 4.

Expect 1a and 1b to be QB and WR, 2 to be RB, 3a and 3b to be WR and probably OL. Complete offensive overhaul is in the near future for that team.

Davone Bess, Greg Little, and Travis Benjamin are not good, and 2 of those 3 should probably be replaced by rookies next season.

With good management and a little luck in their selections, I could see next years draft possibly making the Browns a contender a few seasons down the road. Obviously, nothing is a sure thing, but the certainly have the early round draft capital to do it, combined with what could be a decent defense if it doesn't spend the whole game on the field due to an incompetent offense.

If the Brown's are throwing in the towel for 2014, I wonder if they would be willing to move Josh Gordon? I know he has had some off the field issues which would deter the Patriots, but from what he brings to the field I think he would could be a good fit on the Pats. He can run and can make the big catch.
