Re: Gholston Suspended for Pats game

It only  took 15 personal foul penalties since 2010 for him to get a 1 game suspension?

He's lucky it's only 1 game.

Re: Gholston Suspended for Pats game

That's certainly good for the young ones. The last thing they need after the horrifying first two weeks they've had is to get their head taken off in the third go-round by Goldson. He would have looked mighty good in a Pats uniform too but c'est la vie.

He'll appeal (if he can) so he can play this week and then drop it for the Cardinals game the next week.

Goldson is obviously a Pats fan. First he knocks out Kerley so we don't have to worry about him (and put a hurting on Cumberland too - I don't remember if he played, I only remember the wounded soldier at TE).

Now he takes a seat against us. I'll take this over Jets not having any suspensions for being ****wads. I was worried we'd have no receivers at all for week 4.

He's a good player but I don't think BB would have been too fond of the frequent free 15 yards he gives the opposition.

He would have been magnitudes better than Ihedigbo, Lockett, Brown, Chung etc etc etc over the last few seasons, though.

Only thing is I think the Pats offered a 1 year deal which means he would have had the SB year and maybe he would have helped the Pats win it, maybe he wouldn't but he then would have gotten paid and it wouldn't have been from the Pats and the Pats would be in the same position they are now.

Are you allowed to appeal the Supreme Leader of the NFL?

Wasn't the story as to why he didn't sign for New England that the Pats offered him a multi year deal but he took the 1 year prove it that was offer in San Fran so he could get a big contract (which he's got in Tampa and he played on the franchise tag last year) so it was a wise decision for him in terms of money.

Wouldn't it make more sense for him to sit against the Pats since it's not a conference game?

Eh, they give out 15 yards penalties for everything now. He gets bang for the buck.

Of course he doesn't have to hit the Pats rookie WR's anyway because apparently you just have to speak to them harshly and their careers will be ruined.

In an odd way, not having him racking up the penalties could end up being a good thing Tampa.

Goldson actually didn't have much of a choice. The Patriots offered Goldson a contract less than the one-year, $2 million deal he signed with the 49ers.

The Patriots offered him a one year deal, as did the 49ers. The 49ers offered more money. This all happened before Goldon was ever considered a premiere safety.

“@AdamSchefter: Bucs S Dashon Goldson is appealing his one-game suspension and trying to get it expedited for Tuesday.” Wait a week

The appeal is going to get denied.

James Harrison's appeal was denied and just recently Antonio Smith's was denied.

You follow Scott Zolack on twitter?

At least it doesn't sound like he is trying to have it delayed.
