espn news says he doesnt want to move again and may . trade on hold.

Rattay is better any way. Must be why he's trying to leave Tampa Bay!

NFL Network's Adam Shefter reports that Jake Plummer has decided to retire in lieu of being traded to the Bucs.
Maybe Mike Shanahan should have treated him better. Plummer never seemed like someone who "needed" football, but he's only 33 and could always re-consider in the future. Chris Simms can breathe a little easier. While the Bucs will find a veteran quarterback, he's unlikely to be as good as Plummer. Jake finishes with 29,253 passing yards, 161 touchdowns, 161 interceptions, and one sweet beard in his career.

Plummer's being a whiny b1tch. He doesn't want to get traded to a team that won't immediately name him the starter. He can't believe he has to fight for the starting job against Chris Simms.

This diva attitude, coming from *Jake Plummer*. Oy vey!

Regards,
Chris

if he is doing it because he doesnt want to compete than I agree. What I heard is he doesn't want to move again and I can see where he would be coming from there, especially in a trade where he cant control where he moves.

The link at Yahoo says that he doesn't want to compete. I have no idea if that's purely speculation or if the reporter has inside info, so maybe I jumped on this track too soon. Still, Tampa would be a good fit for him so I find it hard to believe he wouldn't want to move there. I suspect there's some truth to the Yahoo article.

Chris

now there's talk of Plummer to Houston, Carr to TB and draft pick to Denver. Plummer would be reunited with Kubiac.

It's been a crazy day in free agency, folks. Let's end it with a big Patriots signing please. I need something tangible out of my day of surfing.

you had me paranoid that I had screwed up somewhere

I assume this is just a transparent ploy to have them re-do his contract as part of the trade.
