Patriots | More on Danny Amendola - NFL Hot off the Wire

Jay Glazer says on Fox pre-game show that Amendola tore his abductors, which connects the hips to the legs, and possibly has a sports hernia

Glazer reported that if Amendola needs surgery to repair sports hernia, it would keep him out 3-4 weeks

Sorry, that would be the "adductor" muscle that Amendola reportedly has torn http://bit.ly/He0VW9

Danny Amendola (hip) tore the adductor

We don't know if he has a hernia!!! Get that straight.

3 to 4 weeks would be awesome.
I will take 7 weeks if it would put him on
The field healthy for week #9.

I am no doctor, but I have seen players go on IR with
a lot less of an injury.

Football is a brutal game so I'm going to refrain from any "LOL MADE OF GLASS" comments. But please, Danny, for your benefit and mine, try to stop encountering so many black cats on your way home.

Well at least this isn't worse than the 2 to 6 weeks reported earlier

Word has it that Julian Edelman will be getting the 'Get Paid' tattoo very soon.

Oh ugh. But that's less time out than I would have predicted for that.

Well, this has to push BB to shop at least one receiver. (praying)

Brandon Lloyd still out there, Devery Henderson, Austin Collie... shoot, I'd take Stallworth for now.

I am a huge Edelman - always have been since the September 2009 Jets game.
He has been here a long time and has shown toughness, smarts, and dedication. He has been injury-prone - but so has every Patriots WR I can think of who was not and Troy or Wes. He deserves a small raise.

By the way, I think it would be foolish to not kick the tires on Twiggy Branch and Brandon Lloyd right now.

It's OK Tom, you're still the greatest.

Shouldn't of kept Welker. Toughest player in the world!

I'm hoping the Okie State booster club is leaving JE envelopes stuffed in his clean socks after games. Mystery back spasms A.M. Sundays cured by a visit to his sock drawer or a nice little extension. Leverage it while you can JE....lookout for #1 :)

With respect, and why is it a surprise that media with direct contact with the teams (who report for a living) would have better information than you would?

Oh ugh. But that's less time out than I would have predicted for that.

Yes, I would be all in favor or trying to get Lloyd or Stallworth or someone with a pulse who understands the system.

Maybe we should of just signed both Wes and Danny...?

That sucks, but I guess it could be worse. Granted it is during the Pats' arguably toughest stretch of the season. He is a tough SOB so I am guessing 3 weeks over 4 week Might be back by the Saints.

Lloyd doesn't want to play and Stallworth sucks ass.

Amendola is a ****.

Of course. But we're kinda beyond that now, like it or not.

Any additional warm-body veteran would be nice to have right now. Knowing the system would, of course, be a huge bonus.

But then I've been saying all of the above since before the injury... (I still think Stallworth would've been a good pickup in the offseason and my mind isn't changed.)

More than a half hour after the O.P., and this hasn't been done yet:

This place is slipping.

It's not one of those injuries you want to work through. I'd bet my lunch he made a strain a tear by playing through it
