Tom Brady Face ???

What a sad state of the boards when a Moderator is trolling a 2 and 0 team....pitiful

Boy do I miss Billy O'Brien. He would get in the face of the diva when the spoiled child would get out of control.

Just remember - you see the true face of people when things are going bad not when things are going good.

Tom Brady, Bill O'Brien Getting it in... - YouTube

So how many rings does B.O'Brien have? Oh that's right he was a nobody 5 years ago...Amazing what Tommy did to his career, should go ask Weiss and McDaniel's about that too...Since neither of them have won jack-**** since they left the Pat's, McDaniel's even came back cause he knew....

Tommy has every right to yell and scream and do w\e it takes to win! These rookies aren't little boys, there grown ass men, nut up...In the heat of battle I want my QB barking out orders, he's the leader...

Could he tone it down? Sure...But in the end, these rookies need to know what's expected of them and if they're not running routes right or dropping balls you should get your ass chewed be it on TV or in practice...

This isn't powder puff football....This is the NFL...You think its bad for the rookies mental growth? That its not right to chew them out? These are grown men who make more in a year, then most of us will in a lifetime...If you're in the NFL you should be able to take it...or maybe you're not cut out for the NFL...

I am a big homer and find it funny so idk

I bleed local teams ...

If the Patriots are not enjoying themselves preparing for the next game then we are in trouble. Humor and enjoyment are part of every successful team and if this team misses anyone it's Matt Light ... he kept everyone loose ... when Gronk is smiling again that also will help.

If this was Peyton Manning, we'd be crucifying him here on these boards.

This was not a sign of leadership IMO. Showing you're frustrated is natural. But to go on for the entire game and berate your young demoralized receivers on national television is not leading.

His true leadership did show up in his press conference admitting he was wrong in his reactions. He gets mad props from me for that.

I have to be honest:

1. I like to imagine TB12 as perfect and I hate when I see any glimpse that he's not. This is an absolute, unrealistic expectation. There's probably something borderline wrong with it, but I want people to talk about the QB of my team in like hushed whispers of awe when I'm an old man. I hate that there might be blow-up clips or Spygate yammer instead. This whole thing is SUPER minor, but it feels like it's more important than it is because I really want these guys to pull it out and win the Superbowl this year and cement that legacy. Win with a crew of absolute no-names. It would be epic and almost as good as winning in '07 would have been. (Not quite, but almost.)

Because of all this:

2. I absolutely hate that a Brady face thread is on our forum and not another team's forum.

:(

Nope. Don't like this thread. Without TB, half of these fans wouldn't even be here. I'm not turning my back on him when he is needed most. In TB , I trust. Without him we're done. Last I checked, Your supposed to catch the ball in college. Same in the NFL. F' the media and especially Mike Irvin. I'm not biting. This thread is pathetic

I'm a total, lifelong, Patriots homer, and a HUGE fan of Tom Brady. I'll be cremated with some old Foxboro tickets crumpled in my hand.

But that doesn't mean I can't call him out a little when I think he's not being his best. I don't like him freaking out like that over and over again. I think he needs to show a little more cool when things get tough like they did last night (and he basically admitted that in the press conference).

Yep. He realizes what needs to be done. Everyone is gonna learn alot about themselves this season and next few weeks. And that might bond this team together enough for a championship.

While I don't agree with how Tom reacted, I've also never been as passionate as him about my job. He is clearly frustrated, aren't we all frustrated about this receiving corp and the offense in general right now? I wonder what people would say about each and everyone of us if there was a national camera pointed at us while we simply watched the game. Never mind putting in all the effort, sweat, hours, etc, etc, etc that Tom and the boys do.

Maybe just as we have been spoiled by the Pats over the years, Brady has been spoiled with elite talent since 07. This is gut check time, mad props to him for recognizing his error and I think it's great he aknowledged it publicly. I am confident he will help out these rooks... sometimes you take on the charteristics of your coach, we all know the stories about BB berating players in meetings in front of the team. We also know that BB will publicly lift people up during his press conferences as well...

The rooks are being called upon to deliver unnecessarily early and rise to lofty expectations. The new CBA has really shortened the learning curve, how many sloppy games were played last week? A lot! There aren't a lot of rookie receivers who play great right away. I have been down on them too but at the end of the day, the Pats are 2-0 and can only get better from here.

I'm an original Brady's Lady from back when vicious internecine wars between Bledsoe and Brady supporters burned out the inter webs. I think it's healthy fun to poke fun at TFB's temper. In marked contrast to say, Peyton, Brady does not self-servingly throw team mates under the bus in press conferences, even when they have richly earned the dubious dishonor. It's a game and Tom is a human being. A fine leader but emotional one. He always takes personal responsibility for his actions, including yesterday, a mark of character and integrity.

Why even I, a calm, patient, always rational red head can lose it.

Was Brady right to chew out Dobson? Yes, but not during the game. And I definitely didn't agree with him sulking. Thankfully he recognized that as a problem as well.

In times like these, I try to find any positives possible. But given anemic our O looked, I can only say this: At least Tom addressed his on field behavior with more class and grace than some people....

Eh, let's face it. A portion of the fan base doesn't really like that Brady models, has a froufrou wife, styles his hair, wears French caps, etc. They want more swagger. They'd be happier with Favre chucking INTs. So, when he lets his guard down and we see his persona, suddenly it affirms their beliefs. We went through this last year too with all the ducking talk, even though he was taking beatings. He's taken beatings this year too.

The other thing is we don't even know who he was yelling at in that clip, seemed he was yelling at Edelman tome, not Dobson, but who knows.

Most of the stuff Irvin said was dead wrong, but a bunch of people buy the criticism. One game of blowing his top means nothing. No one even knows if it helped him fight and perform. You want to see a cool, calm Brady? Rewind the games of him getting shut out by the Phins and Steelers 5 or 6 years ago. Who knows what the impact of all this is. Maybe Thompkins rises up. As for Dobson, he was kind of laughing at his big drop. I found that more disturbing than Brady yelling.

I don't like watching him chew out the rookies but I can under stand way he's so pissed they give him 3 rookies who cant catch a football and there asking him to throw it 50 times per game and win,

my only fear is once Gronk and amendola come back he's going to throw to them so much that he's going to kill them lol

Apologies come so easy these days. His true leadership was demonstrated on the field and on the bench. Apologizing afterwards is PR.

lead·er·ship
ˈlēdərˌSHip/Submit
noun
1.the action of leading a group of people or an organization.
"different styles of leadership"
synonyms: guidance, direction, control, management, superintendence, supervision; More

Here's to hoping TB emerges as a real leader very soon. Film study should help.

Bill Parcells was a leader.

Do you think he coddled people and was on board with this limp wristed politically correct crap we have today? You hurt my feeling when you yelled at me. Boo Hoo.

Brady wanted to win the game in the now which meant reacting while there was still time to win. Maybe some of you fans would be happier with a loss and knowing that Brady took Dobson, Boyce and Thompkins out for pizza after that game to go over what went wrong.

I think you're confusing leadership with emotion.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

Oh, and you're wrong.

Because Tom Brady is rightfully being criticized for his petulant behavior that somehow translates (in the pinkhat mind) that we're turning our backs on him???

Give it a rest. Brady's game actually deserves more critical scrutiny and critique than he receives around here, especially at playoff time.

These young players needs a leader not an emotional diva.

And can you pinkies please stop with the "In TB, I trust"...."In Bill, I trust".
It's as lame as that horn they blow during the game at Gillette.

What team do you root for?

The Patriots of course.
But thankfully I'm a real sports fan who can look at my teams and the players an coaches on them in realistic terms instead of the embarrassing giggling teenage girl idol worship found (primarily) with so many Patriot followers.
Don't get this silly blind loyalty from fans of any other team in Boston like you find with Patriot followers. Probably because so many are pinkhats and so many were not followers of the Patriots or the NFL before TB and BB got here.

Maybe you'll get lucky and root for a future Patriot team where the QB doesn't care enough to get worked up when his team mates don't perform. Myself, I'm thrilled with Brady's fiery type of leadership, it's never changed.

I've been following the Patriots since 1961. You might have liked Mike Taliaferro. He never got too worked up during games.

You'd prefer he wait until we lose to spare his feelings? Had we just gone 3 and out a few more times in that game, the Jets probably would have won. Our defense already looked tired. Late in the game Dobson ran a route he had run before, but wasn't looking for the ball. The later play he was focused on Brady like a laser and made the catch. I'd rather have hurt feelings and correct execution and a catch myself.

I see the point you are trying to make, but I really strongly disagree with you claiming to have any kind of realistic view on this particular situation.

I guess NO person on this messageboard know Brady or any of the players or coaching staff personally and can tell us how this group of people works as a unit, how they understand and deal with each other, what each persons exact position within this unit is and so on.

There are several people in the sport teams I have played for, who could certainly deal with being shouted at them when things went wrong and others certainly could not. That all was dependent on their personality, standing in the team and my own characteristics and various other stuff.

We know NOTHING about that, therefor we can not at all pass judgement on how Bradys reaction should be looked at. Could be that he was in the wrong, could be that he was right. It´s ridicoulus to take so much from these reactions IMO.
