Maybe I am delusional from not getting much sleep, or maybe I have ALREADY had TOO many cups of some crazy Honduran coffee that my wife found somewhere...but I just had this incredible PREMONITION that Kenbrell Thompkins is going to have a HUGE game tomorrow night!!!! The guy was actually really close on a lot of plays last weekend and showed a ton of promising things for the future, and now coming home to a field he is used to playing on....LOOK OUT!! Thompkins is going to have a BIG night!!! I'm calling it right now!!!! GO PATS!!!!

I like your style.

I'll join you with this. :rocker:

I'm agree with you.

I don't think he's not ready. He simply wasn't on the same page with Tom against the Bills.

He showed a lot of great things in the TC and in the preseason, he'll have a great impact tomorrow.

You're really going out on a limb there. He was targeted 14 times with Amendola and Vereen on the field. Now that they are out, what do you expect.

Just the fact that you are forced to make a thread romping on how Kembrell Tompkins will be our best receiver makes me quiver.

This offense sucks right now. Point blank. We lose 80% of our offense and we're working out Andre Carter? Tom needs weapons. We have a very tough schedule this season and this won't cut it.

I'm really beginning to question the "Brilliance of Bill Belichick".

I don't know if Thompkins will have a huge game, but I fully expect him to have a rebound game. I think he is far closer to the guy who we saw over the preseason than the guy we saw on Sunday.

I assume the refs on Thursday will not allow DBs to get away with as much contact beyond 5 yards like they did on Sunday.

I see a statline similar to Edelman's last week (minus the TDs). Lots of targets/receptions, around 80 yards. Won't be huge but he'll be needed

I'm in. Although the Jest have a pretty good D, their secondary is the weaker spot. And as mentioned, the mugging wont be tolerated at home. I hope. It's time for KT to kick into his preseason brilliance. Maybe Boyce will show up too.

As long as he doesn't draw Cromartie (who looked like crap on Sunday himself), Thompkins will draw a favorable match up. Dee Milliner has not shown he is worthy of a mid round pick yet nevermind a high first round. From what I have seen of him, he is constantly out of position and beat frequently. And Kyle Wilson is god awful.

Even with Gilmore and Byrd out, I think the Bills have a better secondary than the Jets. What the Jets do have is a strong d-line. As long as the o-line gives Brady time, he should have receivers open.

Not only that but it's a better scenario - not his first game, not on the road. no loud crowd. And he's used to the turd as oposed to the ice rink they seemed to be playing on last week. A lot is made of the 4-14 but he slipped at least three times and was held at least once.

jets-related Freudian slip? ;)

I'll call a long TD for either Dobson or Boyce. Hey, if you can't be an optimist, why be a fan?

I hope that Belichick sent the tape of a few plays in to the league showing that Thompkins was not receiving the calls he should have received, that could really help with your dream becoming a reality.

This is not altogether unrealistic as I expect Ryan to double up on Edelman.

I am going out on a Limb and say Josh Boyce he's healthy and should see significant time Thursday Night.

He better, or he will lose Brady.

1 - 0 with the Jets next up at home isn't exactly the end of the world...

I think we are going to see why Stevan Ridley is the best back on this team,Ridley has been given another chance to prove himself this Thursday and not only is he going to have no fumbles, but he will rush for over 150 yards and at least 2 TDs.

It's gong to be a Patriots ground game few have seen since Dillon was on the team and Vereen will be hard pressed to get starting time when he gets back.

I'm calling it .....the Stevan Ridley redemption show,Thursday Night at 8:00pm

Count me in too. I realize what we see in the preseason can be very misleading, as it's never going to be at regular season game speed, most of the teams won't do much scheming for the preseason, etc. However, I saw what I saw from Thompkins, and I just don't believe it was a complete illusion. He has skills, and I believe they match with Brady's comfort zone.

The bigger question for me is whether Boyce will be able to produce "anything." Especially with Vereen out and Woodhead gone, they need an "X factor," someone with change-of-pace speed that creates mismatches or changes what I'll call the "pressure dynamic" for the offense. On Sunday night, after watching Amendola and figuring he's going to be limited at very best on Thursday, I had this idea that they may bring in Donte Stallworth (or someone with that kind of speed) for that X factor. I'm hoping that the reason they didn't go in that direction is that BB is confident that Boyce can fill that role nicely. It was certainly on display just 2 weeks ago against the Giants, maybe we'll see it again, the opportunity for Boyce to make some plays tomorrow is certainly right in front of him. :pray2:

Not if he gets Cromartie...
