Thursday night is coming and the Jets are coming in to Foxboro. The Jets dominated the Buc's in week one and we won't have Gronk or Vareen and maybe Sudfeld or Danny A.

Yes we won't have to deal with Mark Sanchez but Mark, is telling Gino everything he knows. Wilkerson is now filling the void left by Bart Scott as spokesperson for the Jets.

Perhaps BB should just rest TFB and the starters the he is arrogant so he won't do that.

I'm afraid Geno will never contribute anything nearly as precious to Patriots pop culture as the butt fumble.

not at all........

in fact, not being as sure about things makes it more exciting

time to watch some new players step up

Why be scared?

Regardless of the outcome, they still have (at least) 14 games to play, and the JEST will still suck.

Jets dominate the bucs? The bucs suck until they prove otherwise. Well be fine. Ridley will be back to form. He realized how quickly he could lose his job and by default he got his job back because of vereens injury. At least I hope he looks at it like that

I'm more scared of your formatting in the poll... space, dash, space my man!

;)

This is a joke post, right?

The Jets out-gained the Bucs 304-250 in their HOME OPENER. The Bucs. And they won 18-17 with help form a gift penalty on the last drive. Dominated?

Guess we're finishing fourth in the AFC East this year...

Relax, if you read the poll options its quite obvious he's just having some fun.

I know this thread is tongue-in-cheek, but I'm a little nervous. I appreciate the bravado of some of the posters here, but in spite of the total yardage and play counts, the offense looked very out of rhythm in week one. And that was against an opponent missing a couple of it's better players on defense. Now we're coming home without any semblance of a pro-level TE and without Vereen, who can contribute in the run and pass game. The Jets have the CB's to take advantage of a lack of Gronk and Vereen. Though I do think we'll be able to do enough on defense to win a really ugly game, I see this being a tough one. The quicker we can get Gronk back, the better.

Oh and LOL at all those people that wanted him PUP'ed, seemingly for the hell of it. Do you any of you still think so?

In what world did the Jets dominate the Bucs? Both temas sucked and the Jets got a lucky penalty to help them win. Probably my most hated penalty in the league, it should not be a late hit if the player is skating the line trying to stay in and takes one tiny step out and gets pushed.

Am I little worried about our game yes but because we might be without Gronk, DA, and Vareen and we are coming off of a tough division battle that reminded me playing familar foes when you are still bringing guys up to speed is dangerous. But then I am reminded of what the Jets really are.

Also I think Geno and Manuel both had great first games if you are a team in need of QB and just drafted two guys you think will be the future. Basically they only looked good in the context of it being their first NFL game, they managed the game well and didn't make many costly mistakes. Geno was lucky to go up against Freeman instead of Brady as Brady was able to orchestrate a come back while Freeman just sux unless Vjax gets wide open.

Dominated? The Jets should have lost that game.

I'm not scared. I'm just not supremely confident we'll blow them out by 50 like I usually am.

I'm amazed at how many people have completely missed the point here. And not just noobies who have half an excuse, but veteran posters who KNOW PatsNut and can't possibly believe that he'd pen the OP in earnest.

This will definitely be a challenging week given the short turnaround, and injuries have not been kind to this team. The offense needs consistency and it will have none.

Gronkowski and Vereen are both out for a while (I'd say Gronk returns by week 4 or 5, Vereen by week 6 or 7), Sudfeld and Dobson have bad hamstrings (though they have shown nothing) and Amendola has a lame groin. As much as these guys need rest, you have to wonder how this offense will go into the game.

Assuming the above 5 as out, the starting receivers will likely be Thompkins, Boyce and Edelman, with Hooman as the only Tight End and Ridley as the Running Back. These rookies better show up or Tom could have another rough outing.

The way I view this season is that the Patriots just need to win the division and get into the playoffs. Hope to be healthy then.

Not scared. "Any given Sunday" still applies, but not scared.

Know that this tongue in cheek..

But on any given Sunday or Thursday or even Monday...

We will prevail.. no fears at all. It will not be a blowout, and come Friday and the whole weekend there will be thread about how BB does not know what he is doing and how we should lure Chip Kelly away from Philadelphia..

I am not only scared, I am also escared and excared!

I will post my own scale:

'1' being not at all
'10' being the most

Sorry, mine was apparently broke...

In terms of what happens to the season if we do lose, not scared at all. We could do our best to not win the division (2009) and still win it. Anything can happen in a division game, but typically, the Pats win these games though. It may not be pretty, but it doesn't have to be.
