The WR market is heavy this off season.

Moulds, Horn, McCardell, Curtis, Bennett, Moss on the block - it's really not that bad a crop, especially if you don't mind an older guy for a 2-3 year deal.

suddenly it is deeper than we thought but there still isnt someone out there that is unquestionably a number 1 reciever although several could be on our team. I still think Curtis is the best option out there for us.

How often to unquestionable number one receivers usually hit the open market? I they're that good teams usually find ways to hang on to them.

Thought it would happen today, or the new year starts and the team would have owed him some $$$

Curtis is going to be paid WAY more than he's worth by the Lions as soon as tomorrow night. We're better off waiting.

Kinda shocking the Saints sent him packing,They better hope this upcoming season that Colston was not a one year rookie wonder.

Not really-Horn is 35, injury prone the last 2 years, and was due a roster bonus to boot.

Everyone-CALM DOWN! 90% of these guys getting RELEASED are almost at the end of the careers anyways.

Same with McCardell and Moulds. I haven't even bothered explaining it. Let them dream about it for awhile :D

So you are a Cowboy fan, huh? What do you think about Wade Philipps? I actually think its a good pickup for you guys.

I don't know, it seems about 50/50 that a lot of these released vet WRs usually have a few good years left in them.

Rice in Oakland, Galloway on Tampa, McCardell. I think Horn if he is healthy could still produce. He looked fine last year when he was on the field.

its possible ... but I think teams are going to go nuts in FA. BB would bring in a lot of them for the right $$$$$.

And a Saints fan too.

Thanks-yeah, I never had a problem with Wade coming here from the beginning. With our defensive personnel, I more than welcomed him, actually. And after 4 years of Parcells, we DO need somewhat of a mild-mannered coach.

And yeah-I was RELIEVED it WASN'T Norval.:rocker:

Man if we get them and realise that jabbar and reche are faster and i can the posts here lol.

Please see my posts in the Eric Moulds thread re: washed up wide receivers. :D

McCardell on the block??? I know he is a BB fav, but we might be better re signing Troy Brown for 1 more yr...

Moss is one the block...McCardell was cut so he is a free agent.

ive been one of the ppl that are goin a lil nuts with these guys
but, when i talk about them i have no intention of throwin big bux there way
its cuz of the fact that i think some of them can come cheap that i like them
cuz ppl will look at horn and devalue him cuz of his age and injuries
kelley washington cuz of his injuries
moulds cuz of his age and lack of production last yr

thats when the pats strike
when players are valued lower than they should be
and there will be one vet wr that will be
and itll prob be one of: moulds, horn, engram, northcutt

hhahahahahhahha
hey guys
does this sound familiar????
p*ssy pete carroll set our franchise back a couple yrs

I understand the trepidation on taking flyers on old receivers, but Horn seems to be a different case from Moulds or others.

Horn is a different story. If he stays healthy, yes that's a big IF, he's a threat.

He only played 10 games last season. However, if he had played a full season, his numbers for 16 games would've been about 60 catches for 1086 yards. He averaged 18.4 YPC last season. To say he is washed up seems odd to me. If the price is right, he's worth the risk on hoping he stays healthy.
