Mike Dowling killing it with 10 reasons to worry about the pats

This is quite hilarious

#7. How many good years does 36-year-old Tom Brady have left?
#9. Is Bill Belichick really the best coach in the NFL?

Or is it New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin who has won 2 of the last 5 super bowls?

Are these things one needs to worry before opening day ? LOL .Absolutely stupid.
And the finale
#10. Are the Patriots good enough to return to the Super Bowl?

Yeah, that is a reason to worry about the patriots . Hahaha.

The station and website should be embarrassed. I'll bet he composed that entire mess in less than ten minutes.

idk how that was allowed to be posted online...i really don't

Mike Dowling and WCVB should worry more about all those brain viruses people are catching in hospitals.

Their excuse is likely to be something mumbled about Chemtrails, HAARP, and the Bilderbergs, all the while wearing tinfoil hats.

These guys give the 9/11 twoofers a run for their money. :rocker:

Wow. Just wow.

Ras-I Dowling > Mike Dowling

The copy editor is an idiot too -- in an article that was all about questions, a couple of the questions didn't have question marks.

"Or is it New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin who has won 2 of the last 5 super bowls?"

I don't know about the rest of you but this was certainly my main concern for the Patriots going into the season.

Well if these are the things to 'worry about' we have it better than 95% of Pro Sports fans.

Good heavens, that's terrible. So nonsensically terrible, in fact, that we have to assume a headline writer changed the title of a piece that was CLEARLY intended to be "10 Questions About the 2013 Patriots." Most items make no sense with the current title.

That said...it still sucks. So let's re-do it ourselves. Here's one pass at it:

10 Reasons to Worry About the Patriots

1. Can Amendola stay healthy? The Pats are counting on the already-injured slot man as the reliable veteran anchor for a young receiving corps.

2. Can they limit snaps for the starting DL? The Pats project to be fielding an awesome 4-man line...and bubkes behind it.

3. Will the starting strong safety please stand up? The hunt for Rodney's replacement continues. Still. Eternally.

4. Can Dennard remain a free man? The backfield looks reasonable at full strength, but take out any one of the key trio of McCourty, Talib and Dennard and the picture clouds, fast.

5. Was that the real OL in the preseason? Please-oh-please say it was just a mirage.

6. Is Zoltan really that easy to replace? And did Allen really beat him out, or was this a penny-wise, pound-foolish move?

7. LaGarrette Blount returning kicks? Seriously?

8. Who will cover TEs? Coverage has been the LBs' weak suit, and Collins doesn't look ready yet.

9. Roster churn. Even by BB's standards, we're seeing an extraordinary number of tryouts and moving pieces. What about continuity, especially on special teams?

10. The rookie wall. This team will be relying on an extraordinary number of rookies as starters or key backups. If they hit a collective rookie wall at the end of the season, the collision could be fatal to the team.

#11: What happens if they run out of those awesome pretzels in the pressbox?

It worked once there.

What does Tom Coughlin have to do with the NEP winning games this season? Unless they meet the Giants in Jersey in February, it doesn't.

That wasn't good enough to be a bad post here.

Did you see the one that was moved to the Practice Squad RE: BB and his terrible decision to let Welker go because the defense sucks and it blew two Super Bowls? This would be better.

Mike Dowling = the "funny uncle" of the Boston Sports media scene, he's old fashioned, has odd opinions, you see him only every once in a great while ... Best to say nothing, keep the jack-o-lantern smile plastered on your face, nod a bit as he rambles on, and turn around and walk quickly away as soon as its polite to do so (and hope to God his obnoxious son - in this metaphor, let's refer to the son as "Bob Halloran") doesn't wander into the conversation before you escape to the much-needed punch bowl.
