The very classy Stacey James

The reality is that these kinds of stories occur on a somewhat regular basis but rarely become public. Thanks for sharing this.

Nice story. I wonder if this will make ESPN.... ;)

That's a VERY nice story, and it made me proud to be a fan of this team. James worked in his usual, efficient and understated way to do a nice thing for a couple of folks.

This is nice to read amongst all the DOOOOOM! stories in the press these past few months. :rocker:

From what I understand, this is more the norm than the exception and the whole Pats Organization is a class act.

BTW, I noticed her blog link at the bottom of her article and read it.

Living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy

Folks, this young woman is a CHAMPION.

Look at what she has already accomplished with her situation. She is tough as nails.

Truly admirable. You go, Allysa!

Stacey did something like this for Nabwong and Nadya too if I remember correctly.

Nice story - also a quick skim of the blog shows she is an intellegent person living a interesting life

Add this to the myriad of positive Patriot stories that will never be seen or heard on PFT and ESPN. Those are the outlets that get their Pats stories from the likes of Ron Borges.

Nice gesture. James has a very important and very tough job. It's hard to imagine the headaches he must go through behind the scenes being the first line of info for things like Hernandez, cameragate, etc.

You know how some people in the Gov't/Military get added "weekend pay" or "combat pay"?

Stacey James must receive "Belichick pay". Great HC, but from a PR point of view, Mr. Grumpy is a natural disaster. I'm sure the PR staff loves working with him.

It must be like being William Hung's voice teacher.

Not so sure how BB is with him behind the scenes. But I still remember Monty Beisel -remember him ? - screaming at james "I DID PR too!" or some crap like that .It was hilarious and insulting at the same time.

I'm sure BB is very polite with Stacey James. Doesn't mean he's a great subject for a PR guy to sell.

I think Bob Kraft (and Jonathan) would be very difficult bosses with respect to James's job. I get the impression they want to be on the front page (never mind just the Sprts page) with a postive story about the team and the Kraft family every day.

Don't get me wrong as I think the Krafts make a great ownership team, but I also think they could also make James's job more challenging than the coach. In thinking furrther the combination of the two, a coach wanting nothing said and the Krafts following a modern multmedia multiplatform marketing program must make James feel like a ping pong ball on certain days.

I am not sure this will have came from the Krafts the pas didn't put this story out there. This is not patriots.com it's the girls blog she let the world know. This truly shows the class of the people in this organisation.

I didn't mean to imply that the Pats put this story out there. The story is a nice piece about the team and Mr James in particular.

I do think the Krafts promote the team aggresively and think they are smart to do so. My response was intended more to the fact James has a difficult job.

Just wanted to throw in my two cents. I wrote to the Patriots on behalf on Nabwong when his daughter was in the hospital and the Pats sent him a bunch of stuff.

This is a very common thing for the Patriots..

This team means a lot to a lot of people, some of whom are in pretty tough situations. It's nice to know that there are people on the Patriots who appreciate that.
