Unfortunately, our 2 1st round picks won't get us high enough to get Landry. So, what makes you think our 2nd round pick will get us up high enough?
too bad seatlle went undefeated in games decided by three pts or less
I agree the guy is going to be a beast. But if he'd 10-12, it's gonna take more than a 2nd round pick.
If he slips to 14-16 I think it could be done, but he's not going to. The guy made himself alot of money at the combine.
He will not slip close to where the pats will be and if they move up it would cost too much.
i think if we give up a 3rd to it would be worth it, we have seen our 2nd and 3rds not be sucessful, johnson, hill, jackson, scott, williams, id take Landry and a linebacker at 28 and id call it a good first dayI agree the guy is going to be a beast. As much as I like Landry this isn't happening.
Didn't the trade up to 13 to get Ty Warren?
Yes but that was one spot and we gave the bears a 7th rounder.
Even the Graham trade up to 23rd was a first and a third.
A first and a third in this case moves us up from 24 to 20 and he'll be long gone.
Our two firsts would do it.
I'm not saying it's going to happen but if we do we have the ability to make it happen.
No doubt we have the picks but BB/SP are not going to trade two firsts for anybody.
I agree and I feel with the DB depth in this draft it's unnecessary.
Where do you see hm going? According to the draft value chart the Pats two first rounders equals the 8th overall pick. Of course, a team does not need to go by that, but withthat in mind I think the Pats might have enough to get him.
The draft value chart went out the window as soon as the new CBA was signed. Why? Because of the difference in the length of contract that can be signed. Bob Kraft has been on record as saying that its more economical to have the later 1st round picks than picks in the top 10.
I don't see Landry being worth two potential starting players of talent that may or may not be slightly less than what Landry brings to the table. And, from what I've seen, Landry stands to be top 10.
