Stevie Johnson running his mouth.....again.

Ya his 3 rec 47 yard 0.3 TD avg per game against the Pats really shows they can't cover him.

He's not wrong. A lot of the top corners in the NFL haven't been able to consistently cover him such as Darrelle Revis, Patrick Peterson, Richard Sherman, etc., because he has fantastic route running ability and body control. However, stopping him and winning are not mutually exclusive to one another.

The Patriots have been able to dominate the Bills even while not being able to always contain Johnson. I expect that to continue this week.

The next time he gets 100 yards receiving against the Pats in a game will be the first time he ever has done it.

Ok, I will say we've been toasted by Johnson several times that we've faced him, so it's no surprise he's talking it up. I say it's time we shut the little b**** up. :beatingcoming:

Guy is such a tool. Always has been

Yep, that's some "toasting" he's done!

That's irrelevant. If you're suggesting that a player's receiving yards is solely correlated on their ability to beat coverage that's a falsehood and misleading.

As a WR even if you're open on every single play, if you're QB doesn't get you the ball you won't matter and it is not the WR's fault that the QB stinks. Ryan Fitzpatrick was a mediocre QB.

I've seen Johnson own corners 1-on-1 better than anything the Patriots currently have, so he isn't lying when he says that they don't have anyone who can cover him 1-on-1. Regardless, it doesn't matter because they won't win anyway.

The only stat that matters is the W's and L's.

I don't mean to sound like a contrarian but after the Jets ran their mouths all week leading up to the 2010 playoff game against the Pats and then they embarrassed the Pats in our own house, squashed a 14-2 season and then gloated about it after... that took a lot of the air out of the "the Patriots love bulletin board material" balloon for me.

As for Stevie Johnson... I'm not going to say he owns Revis but he's got some very nice stats against him... anyone who has that on their resume deserves respect. We'll see if he backs up his talk. I think the Bills probably wish they had Ryan Fitzpatrick back at this point...

If he ran his feet as much as he runs his mouth, he'd be the best player out there

does this guy really think he is a top 10 WR in the league?

one victory for the bills in how long?

shove it Stevie. Your team sucks.

It's hilarious that a fan of a team can talk trash to a guy who actually plays in the game.

And it's the NFL, not pop Warner. Your defense isn't good. SJ gets open all the time. He just hasn't had a QB to consistently get it to him. If he was on the Pats, he would be a type 5 wr with Brady.

The defensive game plan is going to stop CJ & SJ and force other players to make plays. Your defense doesn't scare anyone, except slow Spikes taking cheap shots. But as long as the Pats have Brady, they're the favorites. I just hope we actually found a legit franchise QB so we can actually have some meaningful games against you.

the irony...

Find it kind of funny that 30 fan bases call the Patriots soft, the Bills fans? Well over the last 2 days I've seen them call Wilfork, Spikes and of all players, MAYO dirty and the same fans are frightened that Belichick will order one of those to take out Manuel's knee.

They also think Adrian Wilson is a dirty player which is absurd, he hit hard in Arizona but I don't remember many dirty plays.

It's weird the warped reality people get at times (Spikes is no angel though, but certainly not an overly dirty player either).

1) They are 32 teams. :)

2) If Brady had his leg hit like Losman did by Wilfork a few years back, you'd call it dirty too. Same thing if it was Barnett taking those shots on Gronk, you won't be happy.

The hits go both ways but as fans, we defend it when our guys do it.

30 if you take out the Patriots & Bills ;)

The Wilfork/Losman incident was isolated though yeah it was a bad one but it isn't a reflection of his career is it? I mean doesn't go around diving at peoples knees every week like some players try to do.

The Spikes hit on Chandler was a high one too, it was a downfield block on a pick IIRC? So Chandler should have had his "head on a swivel" too in those situations, kinda like the Hines Ward/Keith Rivers block a few years ago.

They do indeed, it's a tough Sport and from time to time you're going to see plays that make you hate a guy.

Perfect example why Stevie Johnson will never be a top WR in this league. Seriously does he not know that Chung is not with the Patriots anymore? Hell, Chung wasn't even a starter or a factor for the team last year when he played the Pats twice.

An elite WR knows his competition for the week backwards and forward and has spent hours in the film room especially the first game of the season vs. a division rival. Johnson doesn't even know who is playing for the Patriots.
