RT @MikeGarafolo: Former Pats P Zoltan Mesko, cut the other day, will be signing with the Steelers today.

Guess we have to hate him now. ;)

if we see zoltan on the field a lot later in the year when the pats play the steelers, it's a good thing!

Good punter and seemed to be a real good guy. I wish him well in every game he is not playing the Pats

Good for him but I wish he didn't sign with the steelers.

or any game that could affect their standing :D.

Otherwise, good luck Zoltan

I'm happy for Zoltan that he lands with such a first rate organization like the Steelers. The Rooney family and Coach Tomlin will take good care of him.

Hmm ... hope that he and Lamarr Woodley have got things straightened out:

After former Michigan defensive end LaMarr Woodley’s first season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he came back to Ann Arbor to workout in the Michigan weight room and train with the strength and conditioning coaches. One day, Mesko was fooling around in the training room with a crutch he managed to get his hands on and he hit Woodley in the shin.
The 6-foot-2 inch 250 pound-plus Woodley wasn’t happy, but Mesko was able to get away. For the next few months, whenever Woodley would see Mesko he would vow to get him back. Then, one day Woodley was driving his new Mercedes Benz in the athletic campus parking lot and saw Mesko on his cell phone. Woodley got out of his car and started chasing Mesko, who didn’t see it coming. But Woodley had forgot to put his car in park and it almost smashed into Yost Ice Arena. He had to sprint back to his car to get it to stop just in time.

Woodley's not the guy I'd want to have to spend my time worrying if he was waiting round the corner ...

This sucks.

I for one will cheer loudly and enthusiastically every time Zoltan punts!

I also hope he got a big guaranteed contract!

I'm not totally convinced Pittsburgh — or the Steelers — will "get" Zoltan. But, best to him (with all the qualifiers others have listed). When he was drafted I foresaw Mesko becoming a bit of a folk hero in these parts.I think he was on the way, but, wasn't to be.

Everyone knew it wouldn't take long for Zoltan to hook up with another team.

Too bad it was to help Rapelisburger get out of trouble.

Good punter and seemed to be a real good guy. I wish him well in every game he is not playing the Pats

And further I wish him many opportunities to shine, especially when he plays the Pats!

May he set the NFL record for most punts in a season, then break it each subsequent year.

Well, I for one am glad he signed somewhere. I figured he would but it's good to know that it worked out for him. As far as it being the Steelers, I'm not particularly happy about it but in the end it really doesn't matter at all to the Patriots.....

Well that's an interesting turnaround in that...even when we play the steelers we can cheer for Mesco getting on the field, because it would mean we forced a punt....so we don't just cheer first time, but every consequent time...damn that would piss the ppl wearing black and good off

I'm not sure how the Steelers punter was last year, but they've got themselves a solid punter now. Wish he didn't have to go to a team I hate so much

It is going to be real interesting to see how Zoltan performs in Pittsburgh at their home field with his directional kicking because of how the winds blows down there.

Was Zoltan claimed on waivers by the Steelers or did he sign w/ them as a free agent?

What's the rule on passing waivers for 4 year veterans?

Thanks.

We're going to regret letting Zoltan go..
