According to eastcoastsportsnews.com there is talk at the combine that several teams have talked to Ginn about him becoming a Corner for them instead of WR,Ginn was a superb top flight corner in High School and he says he misses playing that position..If the team who drafts him needs a corner more than WR maybe we won't see him on offense next year...Unless he does a Troy Brown impression and plays 2 positions in the same game.

I would think that Ted playing defense would be a waste seeing how fast he is and scores quickly and was a nightmare on collegiate secondaries to cover.

he is going to play wr, i dont think he will be drafted in the first round to play corner when he hasnt played corner at the college level, but he is willing to pull a troy brown and maybe more frequently which he says to increase his draft stock:rocker:

I would say it would be dumb especially because he never played a down at corner in the collegiate level but he must have shown some remarkable skills at corner in his high school films for the pro scouts to even inquire about him changing his position in the pros.

this guy sounds like the perfect pick for you to replace brown

Agreed but unless we give up a later draft pick or something to move into the 14-20 area, I see no way Ginn will be there at #24 - Miami is the place I see him going.

No. I don't think he's physical enough, and he hasn't played since HS. There's a pretty big gap there to pick up where he left off. He's definitely entering the league as a receiver. Could he play a Troy Brown role if needed for a team? Sure. He has the quickness and agility to compensate for mistakes in the fundamentals of the position. Ginn would be a great pickup for NE, but there's not a chance in hell he's around for us.

if quinn fell to #9, which is a possibility, do you see the fins taking quinn? it'd be the best situation for them, b/c lemon isnt really that great, culpepper's nothign without moss, and harrington will be released eventually

in the event ginn falls to #24, now that samuel was franchised, do you see the pats taking ginn?

No way Ginn drops to #24,the only way to get him is move up several spots by giving away an extra draft pick like we did with C. Jackson last year - As far as Quinn,I think he gets drafted at #7 to the Vikings but Miami is definately a possibility at #9 but if Ginn somehow gets down the draft a bit the Jets will scarf him up to spite us knowing we can use his versatility.
