What can I expect from preseason game 4 tomorrow?

As an admitted Suddy fan (hence the name) I come here with my hat in hand not knowing much about the Pats other than:

A. Tom Brady is probably the GOAT at his position based upon stats, wins, rings, leadership and a super hot wife.

B. They win a lot.

C. Bill is a heckuva a coach.

D. I love the 70's white uni's with the old patriot hiking the football.

So, the question really is, how much Suddy will I see tomorrow and is it worth my time to even tune in? Does Bill even play starters / players that will get significant time in the regular season?

Thanks for the knowledge.

Brady said he's preparing like he's going to play but it's BB's call and Tom Coughlin has said that his starters will play some game time, so expect the Patriots to do the same - even if it's for one quarter or less.

From then on in it's going to be backups, guys on the bubble and potentially the rookies although they might be held out a bit more if they're expected to contribute week 1.

Sudfeld should play enough to tune in. He won't play a lot with Brady but the TE depth is Sudfeld, Ballard, Hoomanawanui, and Fells, so there will be plenty of snaps to go around. If it's just Sudfeld you're interested in watching, tune in. If you're expecting a lot of the starters, you'll be disappointed. BB uses this game to basically fill out the end of the roster.

Thanks. Guess I will have to tune in.

Lots of this:

i'm sure. well the mallet / tebow show ought to drum up some posts at least.

Looking forward to Suddy showing up, putting in work and getting away healthy.

not a total snooze though...

Time for Cunningham, Jake Bequette, Ras-I, Tavon Wilson (and others?) to show that they are relevant.

Tebow vs. reality (Reality wins?)

Hoomanawanui vs. Fells vs. Develin, none, one, or two?

battle for 8th O-lineman

battle for backup DT

battle for 5th RB

Other than seeing if folks are healthy, I expect very little to happen of interest. Perhaps Practice Squad positions and the last couple of positions might be firmed up.

Personally, I have no interest in seeing the starters. My preference is that they don't play.

Um, this is Patriots football. I don't know how someone on this board can ask "is it worth my time to tune in".

Not attacking you pesonally but it just blows my mind to have that question asked. I don't care if they are playing two hand touch againts againts Sister Mary's School for Girls, I'm "tuning in".*

* actually two hand touch againts Sister Mary's School for Girls would be interesting , wouldn't it?

It depends on what his expected team role is and how much more work they think he needs.

Veterans playing in the 3rd and (especially) 4th quarters, other than QBs and guys who are needed due to injury, are in a lot of trouble, so that's worth looking at.

I'd prefer full contact... with the Patriots wearing pads and Sister Mary's School for Grils not wearing pads.

im honest.. just here as a suddy supporter. I hope he does well and by supporting him I guess im supporting the pats.

Tebow at quarterback is analogous to watching a fifty car pileup on the expressway unfold before your very eyes.

Zach is my binkie this year. I hope he does well and becomes a permanent fixture in the Pats O.

My binkies from previous years haven't got a very good record so maybe I shouldn't tag him like that.

Tippet you are actually posting about Tebow in a non Tebow thread, your obsession is starting to spiral out of control bud.

its not too late to get back ....follow the light out...go into the light.

Two takes on tonight from the folks at the Reiss blog:

From Reiss:
W2W4: Five things we'll be focused on in Giants-Patriots - ESPN Boston

And from Yates: Patriots who are not expected to play in preseason finale vs. Giants - ESPN Boston
...Patriots whom we would not expect to play because of recent injury issues:

Wide receiver Danny Amendola
Offensive lineman Marcus Cannon
Defensive end Jermaine Cunningham
Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard
Defensive end Justin Francis
Tight end Rob Gronkowski (on PUP)

Man, I'll tell you .. as a (somewhat) veteran member here it's been really annoying to see this board inundated with all these Sudfeld fans who just follow him wherever he goes, no respect for the team, really just taking over every thread. And the bashers make it worse. All this for a third-string TE.

Oh, wait ... wrong player. Never mind. ...;)
