There is no guarentee he would sign an extended contract whatsoever. That is a pure assumption.

oh look crap.
yes I am assuming that he and his potential team would want a milti year contract . thats a crazy assumption huh. what was i thinking.

why would he be another D. Hayes because he came from the same team?

if that is your logic than we shouldnt sign stallworth because Torrence Small was a bust from the eagles.

my mistake hayes left us for jags he didnt come to us from there.:D

What did I post there that was crap?

No it is not a crazy assumption. Where did I ever say it was a crazy assumption. You have a real problem reading only what people write. You add on so much stuff its stupid.

There is no guuarentee he would sign an extension. He doesnt have to if he doesnt want to. That is a big risk with a solid draft pick. What is so difficult to understand about that?

Hey thanks for stepping up and addressing the rest of the post I wrote, oh wait you didnt.

it is difficult to understand why he wouldnt want too sign an extension. Not sure if you understand how RFA works. the Jags can tender him which is a one year offer, then he can shop around and agree to any deal offered and then the jags can match the offer or except the compensation.

as to not adressing the rest of your post i havent got the chance to compare his film to hayes sorry dude. If memory serves me correct though hayes was pretty good before he got here. His problem was he never learned our system so evan if you are right that they look similar and play similar that doesnt mean they have the same brain power.

Wilford: Jags
Hayes: Panthers

Wilford is slow.

That said, he is good around the goal line; he pulls in the catches in the end zone; however, I think that's David Thomas's job this year.

Whether it is difficult to understand or not, i am not sure if you understand that he doesnt have to extend if he doesnt want to. You see there is this contract thingy that he doesnt have to sign. Wow what a concept that you will not understand.

I am done waisting my time with you. You have no logical points to make. There is now way you can justify a 4th pick for him.

yeah i realized that mistake and posted that i was wrong. he left us and went to the jags that must have been what i was thinking about. Not sure if he ever played in a game with jacksonsville but he was at least in jags camp once.

Dude, chill. I was typing my response, and when I posted, yours was there.

I was in YMCA camp once; that doesn't mean I like the Village People. :p

I am not sure you understand while he doesnt have to he would want to. it is not an ideal situation for a player to be on a one year deal that is why players dont like the franchise tag despite the huge dollars involved.

if you want to say he is not worth a 4 fine say it and move on. but you insisted it was a bad idea to give a 4 for a one year player. we could and probably would offer longer than a one year deal and never have to worry about giving up a four for a one year guy.

There's no way the Pats would give up the fourth for just one year of service. The only way that the Jags get the compensation is if:
1. The Pats offer Wilford a contract to to their liking
2. Wilford accepts the aforementioned contract (no way that it is for only one year)
3. The Jags don't match

Sorry, digger, but he wouldn't be coming here for one year unless he accepts a contract from the Pats for one year (which is just foolish).

Either way IDK if he's a good fit here.
