I heard from Ian's gardner a bunch of gossip about Ian's plans for this year's Patsfans.com free agent class.
The biggest news of course is that Ian is going to exercise the Franchise tag on Miguel. At only 2800 posts he is under the average poster post cap of 3000 and his salary cap contributions make him indespensible.
Unfortunately for some other well known names Ian may be forced to cut ties and allow them to test the free agent fan market or even trade the posters to another fan board.
The biggest name hitting the FA market is supposedly BOX O Rocks. At 10,000 plus posts; Patsfans.com has to maintain at least 4 rookie posters for every post from Box. Sources close to Ian say the numbers just don't add up. Telephone calls to Box's agent have been unanswered but my neighbor's brother is his postman and says Box told him he still has his college team to fall back on.
The Archives is also supposedly on the chopping block. Ian's hairdresser reports that The Archives incessent demands for more signature-graphics have made him expendable.
Ian is supposedly in trade talks with the front office of
Unfortunately for Mike the Brit; according to the bartender at Ian's local pub the INS reportedly is investigating the work permits of posters at Patsfans.com. Ian has been unable to gain INS concurrence on Mike's technical expertise waiver status so Ian has had to investigate trade opportunities with Liverpool and Arsenal fan websites.
Some other names who will be spared the free agent market.
Reportedly Patschick87 and Patjew will qualify for the new minority roster exception by having actual minority names in their aliases.
Patsnutme while also a potential post limit casualty at 7000+ posts; receives the moderator roster exemption and is according to the drive thru clerk at Ian's local McDonalds, expected to be retained.
(With apologies to all mentioned and not mentioned; just what i came up with at end of a long day. )
