I heard from Ian's gardner a bunch of gossip about Ian's plans for this year's Patsfans.com free agent class.

The biggest news of course is that Ian is going to exercise the Franchise tag on Miguel. At only 2800 posts he is under the average poster post cap of 3000 and his salary cap contributions make him indespensible.

Unfortunately for some other well known names Ian may be forced to cut ties and allow them to test the free agent fan market or even trade the posters to another fan board.

The biggest name hitting the FA market is supposedly BOX O Rocks. At 10,000 plus posts; Patsfans.com has to maintain at least 4 rookie posters for every post from Box. Sources close to Ian say the numbers just don't add up. Telephone calls to Box's agent have been unanswered but my neighbor's brother is his postman and says Box told him he still has his college team to fall back on.

The Archives is also supposedly on the chopping block. Ian's hairdresser reports that The Archives incessent demands for more signature-graphics have made him expendable.

Ian is supposedly in trade talks with the front office of

Unfortunately for Mike the Brit; according to the bartender at Ian's local pub the INS reportedly is investigating the work permits of posters at Patsfans.com. Ian has been unable to gain INS concurrence on Mike's technical expertise waiver status so Ian has had to investigate trade opportunities with Liverpool and Arsenal fan websites.

Some other names who will be spared the free agent market.

Reportedly Patschick87 and Patjew will qualify for the new minority roster exception by having actual minority names in their aliases.

Patsnutme while also a potential post limit casualty at 7000+ posts; receives the moderator roster exemption and is according to the drive thru clerk at Ian's local McDonalds, expected to be retained.

(With apologies to all mentioned and not mentioned; just what i came up with at end of a long day. ;) )

hilarious.

I am looking forward to the potential play of PFnV and PonyExpress. Those guys are locked up in cheap long term rookie deals, and I hope we'll use our extra cap space to re-sign vets like AndyJohnson, BrdMaverick, and JoeSixPat.

:eat2: :eat3: :woohoo: :eat1: .............

Although Box_O_ rocks has impressive numbers they have come mostly during garbage time. The word is that he will not be franchised, nor is there much interest out there from other sites.

I think that we could retain him at the veteran minimum.:rocker:

Actually according to PFT he has already agreed to a new contrat with Patriots Planet even though FA hasnt started yet. Ian may want to file tampering charges against the Undertaker.

I say let him go. I believe it was BOR who was callling out our plays to the other board midway through the season. We should have cut him just like some WR with a bad attitude.

I'd like to see a few more posters like TheArchives who take the

contradictory side of issues. Too many posters claim Bill Belichick and

Scott Pioli are infallible.

there is a big difference from taking an opposing view and posting like barney the purple dinosaur.

BB sucks--THEARCHIVES

Good analysis, Gumby. Clearly bold moves of this nature will free up valuable cap room for those of us in the 500--1,000 post range.

This is going to open up some big holes on the bboard roster. Anybody have suggestions for big-name, overpriced, past-their-prime FA acquisitions?

I think he was already banned.

Rumours coming from the Patsfans camp are that a third stringer, currently allocated to NFL Europe, has been nobbling some of the starters, creating rumours about them on the Internet. Said third stringer has also been "briefing" reporters about rumours that BOR is on steroids, the Archives is actually sane and that Mike the Brit.... well, Google Yorkshiremen and sheep for further background.

BTW, post of the year so far. :D

I'm pretty sure that search will get me fired!!!!

Hilarious!!!

you guys have just lost all respect for players who play both sides of the Ball

BOR is a "special" teamer but why punish him for going both ways?

as for filing charges - haven't tampering charges already been filed by an ex-player

F.B.N. and T-shirt seem to be pulling a Ty Law and doing their own off season "work".

Maybe a phone call from Rodney might get them back with the program.

Traitor!!!!!! The days of the iron man are gone unluss your last name is Brown.

Please Mikie, BOR going both ways is not our business. Please leave that out.

Im sure the NFLPA is laughing jsut as hard at those tampering charges as the rest of the league.

Maybe we should rename BOR to BOV. Box_of_Vinatieri.

Speaking of post counts, I notice NEM is again at the top of the list. He was gone and his user title was "Banned" just a few days ago. Now it's back to normal and he's again listed on the members list.

What's up with that?
