OT: Fantasy Football

hearing people say the same thing about gronk, I dare somebody to let him slip to my 2nd pick.

I'll strongly consider Gronkowski around his ADP (52.7) if I didn't grab Graham or Witten. It depends on the state of my wideouts and running backs.

yup..it's a passing league...RBs WR and top TE are more valuable now

No Arian Foster in your top 5?
To be honest, I've always held the belief that Foster is a product of the Texans' zone blocking scheme. Ben Tate can step in an fill his shoes immediately. Combine that with the fact that Foster has carried the ball close to 1,000 times in the past 3 seasons, hasn't practiced a heap and is nursing troublesome back and calf issues with neural pain referral, well, that all adds up to my downgrading of his fantasy outlook in 2013.

Ben Tate is a very good Running Back and I firmly believe the Texans can ride him to success.

belichick010405, I nabbed Gronk with pick 49 in my annual league. The value was simply too good to pass up.

take him in the 2nd round? That's a bold move. Can get another very good RB or WR there. He will probably slip to 3rd. Although i am in a 12 person league so he may go early but who knows. I will take him in 3rd if he is there in the end

Agreed and I have Ben Tate as my #2 running back (I have AD) in my salary cap league and have been holding on to him since his rookie year. I think that Tate is going to make things very difficult on the Texans because he is a free agent following this year. I project 800 + rushing yards and 6 + scores at a minimum if Foster's injuries linger.

Yeah gronk will go in the 40s maybe late 30s...no need to take him in the 2nd round

RE: Tate we are in agreement. He looked spectacular in 2010 before he broke his ankle. From that moment, Foster ran with his opportunity and the Texans have used Tate sparingly. I think he has a tremendous future ahead of him if given the opportunity.

This is my salary cap team that won it last year. I had Danario Alexander and AHern on my roster last year and were dropped for reasons that are obvious. I am projected to finish 3rd with this team which includes IDP's.

It is a $123 million salary cap and 22 keepers.

I am much more into playing money leagues for fantasy sports.

If it helps, this is my team for this year (draft was this past Friday). 10 Man League - $100 buy in with the winner taking all. I had Pick 9 which made quick decisions easy.

Ohhhh man, that team could be pretty sweet.

That's why i like 10 team leagues...12 team leagues (what i play in) are tough specifically in the later rounds with scraps that you have to start here or there

Too many fantasy owners play it safe. I've yet to be in a league where the guy who made the safest picks won. I don't think Arian's back injury is serious at all and when he's on the field he's a top 3 player in all of ff. Probably going Rice with my #3 pick and Arian when it whips back around if he's there. Hoping to get Dez or Julio on the turn. 12 person standard

I started this thread in the Fantasy Football section of Patsfans for people who wanted to put forward their 2013 teams for discussion.

In regard to league size, I'm not particularly bothered by any size. The value is always found late in drafts. It depends on how much research you're prepared to do and whether or not players are available at your selections.

The reality is, I love Fantasy and it's helped me improve my knowledge of other team's players and well... I love the accompanying trash talk with friends.

I like managers who take a risky pick in the 1st round. They tend to have a losing record.

No way Foster will be there when it comes back around to you

I hear ya. I am a sports junkie. I grew up playing and watching sports and fantasy sports is a fun outlet especially for someone who gets to work on a computer and have their own schedule.

You ask me about a player and I can tell you, in any fantasy league format, what the considerations are, statistical expectations, ADP, salary information, etc....

I am staying away from Mcfadden this year...always injured but has so much talent
