We trade Matt Light, Stephen Neal & Matt Cassel, plus one of our first round picks to the Raiders for the #1. If the Raiders go for JaMarcus Russell, we can work the same deal with Detroit. (Calvin Johnson)

We trade Asante Samuel, Eugene Wilson, plus one of our first round picks to Houston for their 1st, 2nd & 3rd round picks. (Patrick Willis)

We take our 2nd round pick and one of our 3rd rounders to move up in the second round so we have two picks in the top 10. Then we can go after Staley, Yugoh, Meriweather, Kevin Houston, whoever.

Our remaining 3rd round pick - Zak Deossie to play outside linebacker.

With our remaining picks - have a ball!

If we trade Stephen Neal and Matt Light, we are going to need to draft some O-Line help, unless you like big gaping holes in your offensive lines.

I would love to have both these guys, but I think this is a bit farfetched...

Trade Tom Brady for the 1st overall pick! Woo!

Someone's drunk.

Me thinks Mecadacut not wake up from dream state...

Owls are suppose to be wise. However, in your case you should change your handle to dodo, as in dodo bird!

maybe we can trade maroney and wilfork for the 3rd pick so we can draft peterson and trade brady for the 4th so we can draft quinn, idiot :rocker:

I apologize for not making it clear that in the 2nd round we would go for Staley or Ugoh and with the latter picks, 4th and down, pick up another guard. If memory serves, we won a play-off game with Kaczur at LT and won a SuperBowl with Hochstein playing guard. If our offensive line drops even a little bit until new players get ready, how long will it take Calvin Johnson to run 6 yards and jump in the air? He's amazing!

Yeah the Patriots should really try and weaken their O Line.

Yup, instead of picking up David Patton, we got Jabar Gafney. Big difference. I said trade Deion Branch for a draft pick because he didn't want to stay here, how did that work out? I said trade Graham because he wanted more catches and, in truth, he's not the best in the hands department. Think he'll be a Patriot next year? Lastly, Stephen Neal said he'd like to play over on the West coast, so trading him was helping him and helping us. If you think this is insane, I pity you. In my second thread I merely returned an attack for an attack with, in my own humble opinion, a little humor.

Did Graham tell YOU that he wants more catches? Did Neal tell you that he wants to play on the west coast? Please cite your sources, or links to stories, otherwise this has no credibility other than fantasy.

Honestly, I think the Raiders would be beyond stupid to make that trade. It's time for that team to find a player to build around. Russell has been raved about at the combine for the way he handles himself, his confidence and poise. Besides him, Calvin Johnson is looking like the best WR to come out of college in a very long time. But again, they're WAAAAYYYY past due to find their franchise QB and Russell is very deserving of the #1 pick.

So the Raiders would trade one of those players for a one-time Pro Bowl LT (I love Light but he got there as a 3rd injury replacement), a solid guard, a #2 QB and a pick no higher than #24? There fans would rip them a new one and they would get crushed by the media.

That trade doesn't do anything for that team. All it would do is give them a slightly better OL with crap behind the center. And with guys like Moss and Porter wanting out, it would pretty much seal any chance that they agree to play their again if you offer them Matt Cassell as the guy throwing to them now.

How many more fantasy, wild-and-out-there trades can you think up?

Wait - let me predict your next one:

The Pats trade Colvin and Koppen to the Packers for a 1st round pick. The Pats trade that pick and Samuel to the Colts for Wayne and a second round pick. Then the Pats sign Clements, draft Willis, trade a 4th round pick to the Panthers for Hartwig. From there, the Pats release Gaffney, freeing up roster room to sign David Patten, who is traded with a 7th round pick to the Eagles for Baskett. Baskett is then traded to the Lions for a 6th round pick and Josh McCown, who is traded with Brady and Vrabel to the Colts for Manning and Brackett. The Pats then trade Manning to the Raiders for their 1st overall pick, and select Johnson.

Crazy, let me first say that I appreciate the thought you put into your reply and your manner. Let me elaborate on why I thought it might be feasible.

1. From the time I've spent in the Oakland Raider forums, not only the fans, but Al Davis, is in a hurry to be competitive.

2. It would be 2/5 of a starting OLine that made it to the AFC Championship.

3. And this is a stretch, but the last time the Raiders won any Championship without a former Patriot's QB was Ken Stabler.

4. With the pick we trade them, coupled with their 2nd or 3rd, they would easily be able to move up and secure Marshawn Lynch, the #2 RB in the draft and a local kid.

Thanks again.

The short coming is that you seem to have no idea what the 1st pick in the draft is worth. Next, it seems like you have no idea what it takes to sign a first overall draft pick. Next, it seems that you have no idea what the team needs and that the needs cannot be fixed with two players. Finally, it seems that you have no clue how the Pats draft.

By the way, are you a stuffed owl?

Lovely. Only thing that'd make this scenerio better is if we were to trade Dillon, Mel Mitchell, and though I'd hate to part with this guy, Danny Baugher (but ONLY as a last resort!!!), to Baltimore for Ed Reed! It's a fair trade. Really. Balt gets cap relief, a HOF RB, a young gun to replace Reed and though I'd hate to part with this guy, an upcoming punter.

BB and SP.....GET IT DONE for the love of god!

Lets trade Brady,Seymour,Warren,Samuel,Wilfork,Hobbs,Maroney & Harrison to the Colts for....

Manning,Saturday,Wayne,Harrison,Freeney,McFarland,Addai,Stokely & swap a 3rd rounder this year for the Colts third rounder next year and then change the teams names this year to New England Colts & Indianapolis Patriots

This idea is about as stupid as the original post had, however maybe not as far fetched :p
