I find preseason predictions crap and only for entertainment purposes, but I was kinda surprised by Prisco's regular season predictions. He has the Pats and Broncos going 13-3 and the Pats winning the tiebreaker by winning the head to head game. He has the Pats losing to the Falcons (by 1), Bengals (by 2), and the Texans (by 1). And he has the AFC East as the worst division in football with no one other than the Pats get more than 5 wins. He has the Pat losing to the Bengals in the AFC Championships with the Bengals winning the Super Bowl (which tells you what his predictions are worth).

Pete Prisco - CBSSports.com Predicting every NFL game: No perfect records, but a few surprises

Where the hell is all of this love for the Bengals coming from?

Us losing to the texans? Two dismantling last year are enough proof for me that they simply don't match up well with us

They've got a very good D and people appear encouraged by the signings of Eifert and Bernard. I think they could be a very good team but I'm not sure yet.

I'm more stunned at the love the Packers are receiving.

Packers 14-2, that's a good one. Marshall Newhouse playing RT, a 4th round rookie playing LT, and Mark Ingram v.5 to make the running game even worse!

Every pass rusher will be told to pin their ears back and crush Rodgers. 51 sacks in 2012, how about 60 this year?

2012 Packers PPG: 27.1ppg
2012 Patriots PPG: 34.8ppg

Clearly Rodgers is without a question the #1 QB in the league, check his stats!

There's no way the Bills end up just 3-13. They'll win more than Miami.

He also predicted 16-0 for the Pats last year.

13+ wins against this schedule with a defense that we really don't know much about yet? I hope so... but I wouldn't bet on it.

They had a very good D last year. Still, they have question marks in the secondary, WR2, WR3, and QB. I think they'll be a solid team, but I don't think they're a threat to reach the AFCCG or even make noise in the playoffs.

Agreed about the Packers (the Fappers), though.

Too many variables go into a season. Tough game, the prediction game. Honestly, I'd be happy with 11 wins, that would certainly win the division.

Prisco blows, but it's pretty easy to get close approximations of most of the bookend teams. Will the Patriots go 13-3? Probably not. Will the Patriots win 10+ games and their division? That's an almost certain bet, as long as Brady and Wilfork stay healthy.

I think that there is a greater chance that the Pats lose to the Broncos than the Bengals.. But if for some reason they do lose to the Bengals in the regular season, there is no way the Pats lose to them again in the Playoffs.

So the 40 point barrier will be broken just once all season?

Two reasons I think the Bengals are being overrated around the league:

1.) Marvin Lewis
2.) Andy Dalton

You give Brady and Belichick a lot of the talent on that team and they would be the odds on favorites for the Super Bowl Champs.

We saw last year that Lewis comes up small in big games. And Dalton is just an average QB.

If Dalton can elevate his game..they can be very dangerous. D is underrated IMO.

ANd I don't see the pats at 13-3. 11-5 is my guess

Prisco is crap. Any guy who watches football can make these kind of predictions .He brings no special insight.

He is insane. The Bengals will never win a Super Bowl with Mr. One-and-Done Marvin Lewis. His team has only ever been good enough to make it to the wildcard game and lose. Did something monumental happen beside the Bengals being on Hard Knocks?

You lost me at "The Bungles will win the Super Bowl" :singing:

He predicted 16-0 last year. What has he done to make himself a better predictor?

Those of us who remember back far enough, Prisco ALWAYS and I mean always picked against the Patriots from 2001-2004.......He's a "Johnny come lately" to the bandwagon,...Ugh no thanks.....
