Where does Corey play for in 2007?

Tough question, hopefully not bills or jets.

New England keeps him with clever dealing

What does this choice mean? Why does NE need clever dealing to keep him? If they do absolutely nothing, they keep him.

Clever dealing pretty much means they will offer him a bit more money (which is not the right thing to do) - or Persuade him to stay by promising more carries than last year (which I don't see happening, this will be Maroney's job more so this year),If they do nothing they lose..Corey won't stay and play 10-12 carries..He wants more involvement.

Maybe for HOF legacy type stuff/stats,I don't know and don't know if he is capable of 20-30 poundings a game for 16 or more games at this stage in his career,If he leaves he is going to need a SUPERB offensive line to even come close to big yardage in 2007.

How can he not stay? He is under contract. BB does not care if he wants more involvment or not if it is not in the game plan. It isn't as if he can rip up his contract and go play for another team. If BB wants him then BB gets him. Cory would have 3 options. 1.) Retire 2.) Sit out and protest and be fined every day he doesnt play. 3.) Suck it up and honor the contact that you agreed to. Darn dude, you are getting over 4 mil to cary the ball 10x a game. Shut up.

Pro football talk is reporting that the Pats do not want to let him go.. I wonder if they fear migration to the big apple.

There is no way Corey can take the beating of being an every down back anymore. He gets dinged up too easily. I hope in the end he either stays here to team up with Maroney or retires.

It has also been reported (by his agent nonetheless) thT Pats have agreed to release him on March 2. You can take that for what it is worth.

If Corey goes anywhere I think it will be to the Jets who will give him a chance to carry the rock to see if he can do it plus the Mangini connection
and Jets can draft a running back to groom.

hes def done with the pats, and i hear NE agreed to release him by march 2. how bout detroit? i know he dosnt really fit in with what martz does, but they need a stop gap guy for about half the year with kevin jones recovering. or i can even see him in baltimore if they let lewis go.

If he wants to pad his stats, then he can forget Oakland and their offensive line. Minnesota might be a possibility.

The thought of releasing him and seeing him go to the Jets is not what I think we should allow to happen. Sorry Corey, your under contract - no Jets for you.

I voted Jets. Just a feeling mangina will try to raid the pats again..

I'm just not worried about the Jets who cares I don't. We will see how the Jets play next year when teams take them seriously next year. They can have Dillon why do we need a back who continuosly took himself out of games after one or two runs. What I remember most about the guy was him holding his hand up after every run.

I agree, the jets can have him, I was just comenting on Mangina taking our second hand scraps

I am not so much worried about how he could help improve the jets as I think we will still be better with or without corey. What scares me is having to face that beast of a man twice a year, on any given run he could destroy one of our defenders. example can you picture A$ante trying to tackle him.
