The Manning Brothers - Football on your phone

I'm glad Archie is getting some kind of acknowledgement late in life...beats getting bludgeoned into a blood puddle every Sunday of his career...

I've watched it three times, and I still can't figure out if it's funny or just terrible.

I only had to watch it once. I found it funny for about 30-45 seconds...then it just got annoying and stupid.

That commercial achieved the impossible.

It made me hate football for a few minutes.

Good to know that the Manning boys will be watching football on their phones next February. As Tom proves the doubters wrong and wins his fourth ring. :rocker:

Where is the pass rush at when you need it the most?

It's pretty funny, but goes on too long. I see it being chopped up into smaller commercials come game time. Anyone else think Eli is just a doofus but Peyton actually has terrific comedic timing? I used to hate Peyton Manning until he did that United Way spoof of himself on Saturday Night Live. That was one of the funniest things I have ever seen and actually softened my view of the man.

Kind of a technical question, but has anyone who subscribes to the NFL Sunday Ticket Max and watches it on their phone had any success with using the A/V composite cables sold at the Apple store to hook it up to their TV?

I've found that I get much better picture quality on my iPhone than I do on my iMac laptop. From what was explained to me by the Directv people, the Sunday Ticket Max program was made for smaller screens/portable devices, and that's why I don't get as good of a picture on the laptop (despite what they tell you on this commercial).

Just wondering if anyone had any success with the A/V composite cables in connecting their iPhone to their television? Thanks in advance. Hate to waste the 50 bucks if it doesn't work too well.

These guys won a SB? i dont freakin believe it...

I won't lie, I LOL'd when Archie popped up, only because it was so unexpected. Best part of the commercial. The others can stick to Oreo's. Let's face it, no QB is good at acting, including Tom.

If Peyton was the QB of the Patriots, we would all love him. He's an incredibly hard worker, very smart, has all the tools, performs at a consistently HOF-level, and has a very, very funny personality. The only thing I don't like about him is that he's played for the Pats' biggest rivals. That's it. Other than that I don't really know what there is to dislike about the guy.

The United Way spoof was hilarious. I have liked pretty much all his funny ads. And I enjoyed this one too. He's clearly able to laugh at himself and not take himself too seriously...which is a positive character trait, IMO.

ivanamp, what about the way he throws he's teammates under the bus? you never hear that from tom (and i didn hear it from brees or rodgers as well).

Your opinion only...

I thought it was really funny.

I thought it was really funny.

That piece wasn't funny at all. It was a grueling several minutes.

With good material, Peyton can knock it out of the park (i.e. the SNL skit and the "Cut that meat!" commercial). Acting-wise, he has "it".

Eli is a brain dead doofus.

Brady couldn't act if his life depended on it.

It is what it is.

Your opinion only...

I share that opinion. I don't have a problem with Manning at all; my problem is with people who think that he's as good as or better than Brady, because they're just clearly, objectively wrong.

Eff the Manning sisters to hell, and their manipulative, dumbass father too.
