This will be my first season to do fantasy football. I did a draft for a guy last year because he had to work the night of the draft, but he played the season.

Last season I ended up taking Brady, Hernandez and the Pats defense. (we had just signed Jeff Demps, I was counting on some return points) I'm hoping to keep my bias from having me take our guys too early, if at all, so I'm hoping to get some pointers.

It is a 10 team ppr league and I don't know when I'll be picking yet.

I expect Brady's numbers to dip a bit, plus we have a good stable of RBs that might take away some of his passing TDs. I'd say he's definitely still top 5 at his position though.

I put Ridley down in the pack of RBs because we don't have a constant gameplan with the RB position, some games Vereen might get the majority of snaps.

Assuming he is healthy, I do think Amendola will put up enough points to be a starting WR, for sure the W/R.

Gronk to me is still the #2 TE behind Graham, unless it is obvious he will go to PUP. If it looks like he will miss only a couple games, I won't pass on him for another TE.

That Brady kid looks like he has potential. I'd probably draft him. Don't bank on him sliding to the 6th round again though. ;)

Seriously though, I'm not a fantasy football player but it seems to me this team - and most of our championship teams - have not fit well into the fantasy football framework.

For example I think RB will be very productive - but as a RB by committee, that's not FF friendly.

I'd say that while typically Brady has a binky like Brown or Welker, I expect much more diversity this season and a bit more spreading the ball around. (This, I think will make the team stronger.)

But there will likely be some go to goal line guys - so Gronk has to be in that mix if healthy.

But I think few receivers or RBs will have good fantasy numbers this season. Which is GREAT as far as I'm concerned.

If told you that our best WR in 2013 would only have 57 receptions, after we've grown so used to Welker hitting triple digits you'd all probably be dejected and disheartened about the team's chances.

And yet, spreading the ball effectively can completely confound defenses throughout a season and through the playoffs. (Of course, it never hurts to have a dominant defense as well!)

Bradys numbers will dip. I think Ridley would be a very good RB. Will be 10 plus TDs this year. if it's PPR (point per reception) Ammendola will get a lot if healthy..same as gronk

Pats D is also projected to get a lot of points. Create off turnovers.

I had Ridley last year on my team..solid every single week. But it depends on what # pick you have. Don't just take them becasue they are on the pats

Stack your rooster with Patriot players. In cases of injury Belichick is very open with the info you want.

Oh, you are serious. I'm joking.

Ridley is likely going to go early in round #2. Brady is looking at early4/late3. Weirdly enough Amendola is often placed around there. Gronk is weird, because it depends on when he comes back and if he's Mr. Robert Gronkowski or GRONK.

I like to get Patriot players because I HATE morons who do things like start Chris Johnson against the Patriots and claim they are Patriot fans. (You know, the "I'm rooting for the Patriots but I want CJ2K to score two TDs and rush for over 100 yards," jerk.)

How much do you guys like Dobson ? I have a rookies only draft and I like him but with Amendola, Gronk will be back + Boyce and Thompkins looking good I'm not sure any of the rookies will put up big numbers.

i think i will take dobson in the late rounds for my 3rd WR..think he has a few TDs in him. Tall. Think he will have a good year

What i want to know is where gronk will go. Last year he was going in the first/2nd rounds...wonder how high this year...wonder where i would take him

brady, ridley, gronk, amendola, should all be draft picks.

The all other pats should be undrafted pickups.

I guess another question I would ask is if one of those guys is worth "reaching" for? Is there a guy you think will do better than the rankings show and is worth moving up from the standard rankings?

Different leagues have different rules and scoring of course, but last year I took Mayo as my one defensive player and he paid off well with his number of tackles.

The Pats defense paid pretty well in my league too, as they got plenty of pts for turnovers and were not penalized for allowing yds etc.

I'm thinking that Amendola will put up 80+ catches as long as he's healthy, and Ridley is also a nice RB to take when all of the "blue chippers" like Peterson, A.Foster, Rice, Martin etc are all gone.
