Report: Bills put McGahee on trading block

at least its 1 pretty good back leaving the division if anything happens and we would know the Jets cant get him either unless Bills are extra extra stooooopid

Are the Bills gambling that Marshawn Lynch falls to them at #12, or do they think they can move up into the top 10 and get him? The Giants are SOL for a top RB at #20, though I've never been that high on McGahee - except as a Patriots' fan of course. I know the Bills drafted roadgraders last season, I wonder if they think they can get a Leonard (Northern NY boy) in the second to pair with A-Train? An interesting situation.

Lynch isnt top 10..only Peterson is and A Train is an FA

I think McGahee would be a perfect fit here style wise and physicality wise.

I don't think he would be big on sharing carries...but who cares....he carries the ball when his number is called. The big "if" is what does he want for a contract. The Pats won't overpay him especially with the Giants showing interest. The Pats definitely have the picks to trade for him.

It won't happen, I know....but it really is too bad. I thought he did a good job with the Bills and had a great comeback from the knee injury.

Read this :

"Willis McGahee is as good as gone from Buffalo, and you can pre-order your TJ Duckett Bills jersey, if what I heard today is valid. Baltimore and Houston are the finalists to get him (McGahee), and the price is no more than a 2nd rounder."

That's interesting, especially in light of BBF's note on Duckett - those roadgraders and Duckett say something about Levi and Jauron's thinking.

Bills would never trade him to us and i doubt he would be fine with sharing . i mean..if your splitting the load..you probably dont have a huge contract which is what he wants and hes got Rosenhaus. As a Cane fan..id love McGahee but we drafted Maroney who has much better potential and we drafted him early..i rather not bring anyone in with a big contract and take away from Laurence. I know Patriots would never do it either

McGahee plays well against the Patriots. Against the rest of the league, not so well. This is why I think Patriots fans overrate the kid. Everyone in Buffalo prefers Travis Henry. McGahee reminds me of Curtis Martin a little bit, but without the explosion. Early in Curtis's career, he rarely fell forward and got the requisite three yards. Curtis was a master of the old, 0 yard gain, 1 yard gain, then 10 yard burst, which is why he had a 3.9 average in the early years. McGahee is very similar. If you don't have a decent QB who can convert 3rd downs, your offense will stall with McGahee. Buffalo is very down on the kid.

Another huge Donahoe mistake, compounded by Drew Bledsoe, Mike Davis, JP Losman. Think of that, 4 first round draft picks and you have squat to show for it. Embarrassing. And this is the guy Kraft would have hired were it not for Belichick.
