the pats won two sb with Antwan smith . I'm not concerned about the rb position .

Bring him back to be our power back combo with Maroney. Any thoughts not sure if he is out there.

O hes out there, and hes about 35 years old which is very elderly for rb today. I think we will be able to get someone a lot better at the minimum then high steppin antowain:snob:

I'd hope to get someone with a little more fire. He produced when it counted, but I'd rather give somebody that wants an opportunity a chance.

Sure why not? As soon as he gets some power let us know and bring him in.

Oh, he had power and always seemed to fall forward when tackled picking up that key first down when he played for us. But that was a few years back now and I think he may be all done.

I didn't see any production from him last year in Houston - was he injured??

Antowain.....good dude, loved him during that awesome Superbowl run.

Please.
He was painfully slow in his prime. I bet Koppen could outrun him today.
If we want a blast from th epast, I think Sam Cunningham would be a better RB in 2007 than Antowain Smith.

Keep an eye on the rumblings of the Andy Johnson comeback though. Mid 50s is a great time for a comeback.

hmm Sam Bam and Maroney would be nice.

I guess I should have put something on the thread to say I wasnt seriuos. I just liked the way Antowain ran for us when he was here and that is what we need to compliment Maroney.

Why not? George Foreman pulled it off to become the heavyweight Champion of the world.

Believe it or not, I was thinking that when I typed it.

how about marion butts, reggie dupard, or we could try and contact robert weathers, i was thinking jim nance but i believe hes passed, mack herron?anyone know if leonard russell is in shape? what a great idea for new talent or maybe i shouldsay old talent

Why not Sam Gash. His spirit is a forum member.

An easy solution might be to re-sign Patrick Pass and then

draft a young big running back.

Take a pass on Pass and let's get a real back up and a rookie in the lower rounds.

You all aren't giving Antwoine his due respect as a former great and true Patriot. He is a lot faster than any of you think.

Last year he ran a 4.52 40yds while auditioning for a job.

Heck....I don't know about you....but I didn't think he could still cover 40 yards in 4 minutes and 52 seconds.

Antowain always ran downhill in the postseason.... It's like he gained a step for hat and t-shirt games.
