Dan Koppen tears ACL

That's a shame for him. He was really playing at a higher level than I expected he would last season. Hopefully this isn't a career-ender for him and he has a speedy recovery.

Bad news for Dan, but it doesn't bother me to see the almighty Broncos suffer some attrition.

That's sad ... his is a great success story I wish him well.

Condolences to him. Except -- could be a blessing in disguise if it helps keep his brain unscrambled.

Camp just started and there have been more than a few notable injuries already. Can't recall a season that started this way in a long time.
We've had our share of offseason pain, hopefully the injury bug stays away from Greater Boston.

Even though he's a donco I feel sorry for him. If this is the end of the line for him it's been a great career. Thanks for starting for the super bowl 38 & 39 champs and good luck to you whatever you do from here Dan.

That's sad news this early in the season. Here's to Dan that rehab goes well and he gets another shot to play next year.

Bad break for Dan but Donkey's are lucky it didn't happen later in the season. Horseface and OL have time to adjust to his absence.

Don't forget Stephen Neal! :)

Nothing wrong with feeling sorry for injured players, regardless of team. Heck, I felt bad for Darrelle Revis when HE tore his ACL.

OTOH, I felt utter Schadenfreude for the JEST when that happened. :D

Unless the guy is a real bad dude like say James Harrison, I always feel bad for a guy with a major injury. I don't relish injuries for the Harrison types, but I just don't care enough to feel bad for them.

In my eyes, Koppen is still a Patriot in some way. He spent most of his career here and if he had his way, he probably would have spent his entire career here. It wasn't his choice to leave the Pats. He just lost his job to a better (at least at this point in their careers) and more versatile player.

I am sad that Koppen looks to have ended his career this way especially since he had to be in Denver his final year having Manning feeling up his arse.

Always like Koppen... too bad, wished he could have finished his career here, but the business of the NFL dictates otherwise.

i feel bad for koppen.......... effff the broncos !!!

I didn't say you must feel sorry for them. ;)

Lord knows I didn't feel sorry for Lady Tom when she got injured.
