Patsfans forum is unparalleled

Fellow Patsfans,

I wanted to take a moment and open this thread to thank all of you for being so welcoming since I began using this message board earlier in July, admittedly I lurked for years reading different threads and decided to request permission for an account because I wanted to become more educated in preparation of this upcoming season. My goal is being accomplished thanks to of all of you, the knowledge and understanding of football on this board is unparalleled and what’s even more remarkable is the members on this board are all respectful, courteous and a pleasure to interact with.

The only negative I’ve experienced is last night while I was typing away on my iPad my wife asked me if I had checked out of our marriage, I didn't know what to say? No honey I just find talking football to be more enjoyable. Putting this minor future divorce aside I can say I’m very happy I’m a member of this site, and even happier to have the privilege to mix it up with all the men and women in here.

Special thanks to Ian the site owner and all of the moderators (still learning all your names) for creating and managing such an awesome place for Patriots fans to talk and type it out.

I agree Brady6, this is a great forum, I feel lost when the board goes down, I just don't enjoy other Patriot's forums (no offense to people here who belong to other Patriot's forums as well). I discovered this forum back in 2004 (maybe earlier) when I was looking for an NFL Draft forum, and found the site NFLDraftFan.com, which had drop downs to team's forums. The amount of info that is posted here, and the speed of which I see the info coming in, is unparralleled by any other forum. I visit Patsfans every day, suaully several times a day, to the chagrin of my employer, lol.

Keep up the good work Ian and Co. !!

How do you become a supporter? I'd like to do it as well? I generally use tapatalk so it maybe something I have to be desktop to see.

btw After reading the original post I skidded through the replies without paying FULL attention. I kind of saw a word in the 2nd half of that sentence and thought you were tossing out solutions for the wife issue

The back and forth, and the level of 'courteous', will vary a great deal over time, and there will be plenty of raucous posts and warzone threads over the course of time.

To be expected; passion for the team can spill into passionate debates.

I'm a believer that if you treat others how you'd like to be treated they will concur, and if they don't I maintain the right to exit the discussion all together.

I do appreciate you saying this, honestly you're #1 when I think of the attributes I mentioned, you were the first to welcome me, always answer my questions in threads or through PM, and you offer an amazing level of football knowledge. I'm very thankful for all those things Deus and if we ever meet face to face I'd like nothing more then to shake your hand and say thank you!

I occasionally complain about the negative tone of some fans here and the 8 million AHern threads but there is no other place that comes close to this place for informed discussion on our favorite team. Try the Boston.com Patriot forum if you dont believe me. The trolls own that place.
