Patriots RANK #7 in Mike Florio's PFT's preseason power rankings

Caught a lucky break there. Outside the top 8 and they wouldn't have had a home playoff game.

Its meaningless but I like it. Hoping people would write us off big time.

There are fewer things more pathetic than "Power Rankings" and the people that spend time creating them.

"Oooh!! I was just voted 3rd Most Popular!! Oooooh!!"

"This is the kid of Spontaneous Publicity...that makes People!!"

Things Are Going To Start Happening To Me Now!!

I'd be perfectly okay with the Pats being the 7th best team next season...

...in the regular season.

The lower the better. When was the last time they were legitimately able to use the us vs. the world mentality that worked so well during the Super Bowl years???

The ranking is meaningless, but not unreasonable.

The Patriots have been "legitimately able to use the us vs. the world mentality that worked so well during the Super Bowl years" when they had Super Bowl teams.

...Just visited Caesars Palace the other day. They have Pats 7-1 to win in Feb 14' behind only Denver at 9-2, and tied with SF and Sea (also 7-1).

Those LV folks seem to know what's what from time to time...

Lots of question marks with the Pats. Can all the new receivers learn the offense and mesh with Brady ? How long will Gronk be out ? Who will replace Gronk and Hernandez if Gronk is out for any time ? Will they be able to produce at a decent level ? Will the defense step up this year ? And of course, unfortunately, there are always injuries. Lots of question marks. Being ranked #7 is a little lower than I thought, considering the Pats finished in the top 4 last year, but #7 isn't totally unreasonable as far as a ranking.

i can see it..O will struggle thats for sure

I'm going to predict that the Pats are top 7 next season in both points scored and points allowed. I think that combo would get them better than 7th in wins.

If you mean they will score UNDER 30 points a game, you're probably right. But I would bet anyone that the Pats will have a top 5 offense regardless of the changes in the offense.

yeah?..well...don't try to bet Brady2Moss because he ain't with us anymore...SOMEBODY..*cough*Brady...to..Moss*cough*..did him in...a tragic story to be sure ....:help:

I have a hard time seeing this team as not top 4. With a better D and Brady, bb and mcdaniels at the helm we will score points on O. The pats are severely underrated, and that's better.

I think that they have it right. I certainly would be fine with the Championship games being between the listed teams.

2012's full list..

#3- Giants
#6- Steelers
#8- Eagles
#9- Saints

40% of their top 10 didn't even make the playoffs..

Steelers and Giants ? Lol. Giants had a very underwhelming draft and offseason, and didn't make the playoffs last year, and they are #3 ? Steelers had a good draft, and I think Roethlisraper should be healthy, BUT I still don't see them being better than the Pats.

***Edit, I stand corrected that is 2012's list where we are rated higher after going to the SB***

The link I posted was actually 2012 preseason list, I was just pointing out that they were way off last year and this years list shouldn't be expected to be any different.
