1. Quentin Sims, UT-Martin
6-3, 202

Had 16 TDs in his 2012 season. Was a former Georgia Tech player who transferred due to lack of playing time. Tried out with the Falcons.

Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else and this seems to be the only source on this so far so bear in mind.

Thanks for the update.

Anyone else wincing at "bodies" in the thread title?

6 rookie WRs in camp, that has to be a record.

Let's not go there. Until I see otherwise I am going to view the position as Amendola and see whatever else sticks.

I'm sure Brady is gonna love training camp.

Yeah, I've tried to remain as optimistic as possible regarding the position and that still holds true, but I also think that we're asking a little too much out of Brady in this scenario.

On the other hand there was a lack of sufficient talent at the position last year outside of the slot receiver (which has been swapped), so I can understand attempting to change things up.

I think we all just wish that there was at least one other viable receiver who was brought in during the offseason. The million dollar question of course, would have specifically been "who?" There weren't many good options out there in terms of value.

I think this is one more hint at how much Belichick respects and values Tom Brady, and how much he trusts him to get the job done no matter what.

They likely could have had Emmanuel Sanders for just a few more bucks.

Maybe one of the rookies will surprise, I know that Pats haven't had good luck in the receiver department but other teams have and maybe the tide is turning.

Well, he should. It's up to him as a captain and the clear leader of the team to "love training camp." Would you expect him to mope around, ***** and moan and generally feel sorry for himself? This whining about how there's no one for him to throw to is pure BS. He has Amendola (who, contrary to popular opinion, is not dead), Ballard, who all of the Giants' fans told us was Gronk's equal 2 years ago (now, of course, they say he's always sucked), Gronk (who, also, contrary to popular opinion is also not dead), two highly-regarded draft choice WRs, Edelman (who according to some experts here sucks), and on and on. I'm guessing Tom feels a whole lot less poorly about training camp than you do.

Ashford and Sims - sounds like some pop rock group from years past.

either that, or flotsam and jetsam.

I don't think Ballard, Gronkowski or Edelman has been able to practice. It's the Brady Bunch or Danny and the juniors.

2011

Giants

38 receptions

604 yards

15.9 per catch

4 touchdowns

I'll take that right NOW and run to the bank with it...

It's interesting that a decent amount of WR's in training camp are pretty big, Dobson, Harrison, Jenkins and Sims are all 6'3" or taller and 200lbs or bigger.

My mistake. I didn't think traing camp had started yet.

There have been lots of opportunities. All these players are injured. If you need to wait another week to see them officially on Training Camp PUP list, so be it. We all understand that none of these players are ready to play.

My mistake. I didn't think traing camp had started yet.
