I have a better feeling about Donald Jones than I do any of these four though. Probably just a hunch.
The Pats are already going to have at least two rookie WR on the roster, so from that group I would say the veteran Jenkins has the best chance to be on the roster.Who has the best chance to make the roster and contribute if chosen?
Kenbrell Thompkins
Lavelle Hawkins
Michael Jenkins
Mark Harrison
If it comes down to special teams then Jenkins would be the least likely to make the roster, since he is the oldest WR in training camp and other than career ST players older guys tend to contribute to ST far less than young guys.I don't think any of them will make the team unless one of them play amazing on ST in the preseason

I'm curious why you came up with those four, but did not include Kamar Aiken or Donald Jones?

If you think none of these four make the roster, what does the Pats 2013 WR unit look like? Sounds to me like you are projecting it to be Dobson, Boyce, Amendola, Edelman, Jones and Slater, correct?
Add me to the Donald Jones group.

Jenkins is the big veteran outside receiver that we need this year. He may, or may not, be highly productive. That depends on the development of Dobson and Boyce.
At this point (pre-camp), the roster looks like: Amendola, Dobson, Jenkins, Edelman, Boyce and Slater.
Personally, I would also keep Jones (or even Hawkins), if either has a good camp. Having rookies and players with injury histories should push us to use one of the last roster positions on insurance at WR.
I hope not. Jenkins is not a good receiver, at this point looks to be a taller, less system acclimated 2012 Branch.
I know he looked like one of the better options at OTAs, but that was with Dobson, Edelman, Boyce and Harrison all sitting with various ailments. Considering he offers nothing for STs, I'm still seeing him on the outside looking in.
Dobson was healthy in the beginning of OTAs and was behind Jenkins on the depth chart and from what I've read looked about the same. I believe Jenkins has been catching pretty much everything but didn't do anything flashy, whereas Dobson has made some great catches and some terrible drops.
For now, I think Jenkins makes the team, but if Dobson shows he can play that tall possession WR role nearly as well as Jenkins, there's no need to keep him on the roster. But that hasn't been proven yet, so I have Jenkins on the 53.
Of course! NE almost always gives the vet first team snaps in those summer sessions. In fact, I think Jenkins was signed for just this reason; to be an experienced body to lean on early while the rest of the newcomers catch up, and an emergency option in the event that not enough do.
