I just can't help but laugh every time I see Freeney so high on these lists.

How come? He's a real good player. I bet alot of teams would love to have him.

By the way Bobby Engram got shafted. He's top 47 material and I hope the Pats get him.

Boy, that is an awful list. Graham, Curtis, and Johnson are about the only ones that I'm interested in signing.

can't wait to see what next year's list looks like.... are there any links for 2008?

He's okay. Mathis and Sanders are the players on the D that impress me. Freeney is a decent pass rusher who has seen his numbers drop off each of the last two years. In fact, 3 of his 5.5 sacks in the regular season came in one game (against Cincy). I just don't think he's worth what he will get with the FT next season.

The Pats will probably lose two of their guys from this list. How

many do you think they will sign?

Schaub is an interesting story. He's a better overall QB than Vick, yet nobody in Atlanta wants to pull the trigger. Unfortunately for him he's an RFA which likely means another year of playing behind someone he's better than.

He's suffering from Richard Seymour syndrome. He gets doubled teamed and his teammates reap the rewards.

From Scouts.com. Samuels is rated 6th overall. Although he is franchised he is technically a FA if someone want to pay the draft picks.

Full disclosure:I stole this from a link that broadwayjoe posted on the draft forum about the combine.

I paid for Scout.com last year, was quite disapointed. They tease will headlines but there is little detail. This list is a good example, Travis Fischer (St. Louis), he is an ok number 3 CB but they have him as a 4 star player.

I much prefer the lists at ESPN Insider (I would signup if I didn't have to get their stupid magazine, just want the online content) and the War room (Sporting News) but had to scale back this year only signed up for NFLDraftScout.com,

Will be interesting to see who has an interest in Rob Morris I think the Pats were looking last year but I'm not sure how much interest they had in him.

Freeney is the best pure edge-rusher in the league. Mathis is not a half-bad edge rusher, either. Problem is, the Colts don't have a 3-technique DT or larger DE who can bull rush and create interior pressure. Thus, tackles know they can just push Freeney into the backfield, knowing the QB will be able to step up into the pocket.

Freeney right now is an even-better Simeon Rice w/out his Warren Sapp. You put him on a team like the Bears (w/ Tommie Harris) or Jaguars (with their DT duo) and he'll be a perennial NFL sack leader.

I bet Green Bay will be happy to know they now have Deon Grant(even though he is an UFA). They need help at safety. You would hope scout.com could at least get the current teams correct. Never mind the rankings.

Good to see Drew Bennett down at #27. I notice that "sleeper" Kevin Curtis has zoomed up everybody's list. I known folks love him here... but I am starting to smell "flavor of the month." I know, I know, faster than a speeding bullet, great hands, great routes, and I'm sure he has a great singing voice too. But I don't know I put him that high on the list.

I think Freeney has been exposed. Look at his production since the Colts played the Rams in 2005. His sack totals have fallen off exponentially. Orlando Pace has shown how to neutralize his spin move. I think people are giving him the benefit of the doubt and think that his performance last year and the last quarter of 2005 was an aborration.

I wanted the Pats to consider taking Curtis last year as a RFA, but the Rams slapped him with a first round tender and that ended that discussion. I have thought for a while that Curtis would be a perfect Patriot. He may be a flavor of the month for others, but he has been a guy I have hoped we picked up for over a year.

By the way, I am not high on Bennett. He seems too big and too slow to be in the Pats' system. They seem to like small, faster guys. Bigger guys don't usually fit into the Pats system (see Doug Gabriel and Donald Hayes).

still say he isn't what he used to be.... who else do you get to replace him? you don't let him walk for nothing. this is the new nfl, protect your own investments even if you don't intend on keeping them.

if this makes sense. money is the biggest factor anymore as everyone has it, so unless you outbid someone and pay through the nose you may have no way of getting free agents so you need to develop your own players and retain their rights.

I don't know. I'd love to get Ken Hamlin, Deon Grant, Donte Stallworth, Michael Lewis could be a steal since his stock dropped.

By the way, why has Nate Clements dropped so low on this list?

I'm not commenting on whether the Colts should keep him or franchise and trade him. Personally, I think he is overrated.

regardless if he is overrated he has been and will be productive in their system, so i can see them retaining him.

there are alot of hyped players in the league, but i think he lives up to his billing for the most part
