OT:Cardinals Rookie runs 25 MPH on treadmill

The most unbelieveable part is how he exited after running and still stayed/stopped on the machine.

I was half expecting to see a cartoon ending crash (even though I knew from post and reading the webpage he did it witout hurting himself).

Just out of curiosity, what's the fastest a treadmill can go? Seems pointless to program one so fast, unless you have a pet cheetah.

Kind of a pointless exercise, isn't it?

If he can produce 25 Miles Per Hour on'is own ~ from a Standing Start ~ then that's something...

But if he's only managing to keep up with the Simulation of 25 for a few seconds...

Meh.

*I'm not implying that I could or could not...only that this dramatically distorts perception of the Reality.

And here I was proud of myself when I ran a 6 minute mile on the treadmill for my fitness competition a few months back. BTW, this really has nothing to do with the OP post, but I just wanted to brag that I ran a 6 minute mile which I think is impressive for guy my age (if I do say so myself).

Braggarts who brag while pretending they're not are Boring & Tiresome. :snob:

Braggarts who brag while declaring that they're bragging are the very finest sort. :snob:

I don't care who you are that should make you smile.

That's someone working his butt off with his buds, and loving it.

Brings back memories of high school sports for me.

I am impress!

Well done, old man!!

I'd say he was hanging on for his dear life more than actually running. Impressive that he didn't end up with 50 stitches.

Wow. This kid can sure run on a treadmill. Impressive?

That just looks silly. Like cartoonish. That would have been a little embarrassing on the injury report had that gone wrong.
But still, :rocker:

6 minute miles are nice and all but, Uncle Older-than-dirt-ker, prefers to run at a much more leisurely pace...just to take in the scenery and all...that's why I run a 6 hour mile...well, that and the fact I forget what the hell "run" even means these days...

Unbelievable..................

Cardinals coach: "I've never seen anyone run that fast on a treadmill in our facility! You're cut. Clean out your locker and be out of here by noon."

There are, however, many ex-Cardinals who wish that they could run even faster trying to get the hell outta there over the years......

This is what I thought too. 25 MPH on a treadmill is not the equivalent of running 25 MPH on a track.

IMO, file this under the "do not care" or "Guiness Book of World Freaks Column." Reminds me of those videos of athletes jumping out of swimmming pools, or wasn't it Jamarcus Russell who on his knees could throw the ball from one endzone through the goalposts on the other side-that tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about the carnival barker type freaks.
