WR Jerry Porter changes jersey number

WTF did Jerry Porter change his number from 84 to 81?

Is Oakland planning on having a WR with #84 come aboard and Jerry was O.K. with it? or is there a team he may be going to that already has a #84 thus the change?

Weird thing,never heard it before,especially when it is done by a veteran...But of course this is the Raiders and a WR core of disorderly and selfish players,so nothing is really surprising,but this is strange.

If he wants a fresh start better off going to a new team instead the same old lousy team which will remain..the same obnoxious crazy dressed fans will remain and so does the no QB situation there,you need more than a coach in Oakland,you need a complete overhaul and years to fix it.

What a new number will do is stupid,how about pissing off the fans there that already have Porter Jerseys.He is not that well liked there to begin with,now the fans he does have must go and buy new jerseys to match...Might be a con game to make money on the jersey sales.

Kind of odd, considering I would think the Raiders will be retiring #81 for Tim Brown in the not-too-distant future.
I like these guys who think a number is the reason they haven't succeeded so far. Just like that D'back from the Giants (now on the Eagles) who changed his name, lmao.
