Oh those Jets.....

Ventrone to Jets
Former Patriots safety Raymond Ventrone, who was waived by the team last week, has signed a free-agent contract with the New York Jets.

Ventrone had initially joined the Patriots as an undrafted free agent on April 28, 2005. The former Villanova standout spent most of that season -- in which current Jets coach Eric Mangini was the Patriots' defensive coordinator -- on the practice squad.

Last spring, the 5-11, 200-pound Ventrone started 10 games for the Cologne Centurions of NFL Europe but required shoulder surgery upon his return, thus costing him a chance to make the Patriots' roster.

Does this really surprise anyone here? :(

[Seriously, though, I hope it works out for him--except if/when he plays the Pats.]

They have no pride. They continue to take scraps from our table.

Jest fan should be ashamed but if you are a Jest fan you have no shame anyway.

None. He was not a Jet. He was retired. He was a sentimental signing by BB.

True, bad analogy on my part. but then again Ventrone was not a Pat when the the Jets sighned him either. Maybe Mangini sighned Ventrone for sentimental reasons.

This tells me our safety roster is deeper than their safety roster.

Hope they patted him down on the way out!

That's it, the Jets just punched their ticket to Arizona; what a powerhouse they are going to be next year, a force to be dealt with.

And people wonder why this pathetic excuse for a football team hasn't been to the Super Bowl since Christ was in a crib..............

We need to pick up some real jokers and than let than go the next day so they can pick them up as well.

Mangini's circling like a buzzard-has been right along. We really should sign and release Ray Lewis or maybe one of the Bengals just for fun :)

Or Duane Starks. :)

If by love you mean hate then yes, you gotta love them.

It was sarcasm. But if they keep adding former Patriots to their roster I might begin to like them...again, sarcasm.

I know. No self respecting Patriots fan (which I assume you are) would say they love the Jets!

The Jets will be signing next Tebucky. Go Pats:rocker:
