Source: Pats Hernandez directly tied to homicide investigation - Boston News, Weather, Sports | FOX 25 | MyFoxBoston
A law enforcement official tells FOX 25 Hernandez appears to be directly tied to the homicide which is why authorities executed a search warrant at his home Tuesday night. According to the same source, Hernandez, Lloyd, and two other men were at a bar in Boston the night of the homicide, and at some point, the four men left together in a car driven by Hernandez which was confirmed by a text Lloyd sent another friend, the source says.

It is unclear where the car went or what happened during the ride, but according to the source only three men returned to Hernandez's home at the end of the night and Lloyd was not one of them.

The source also says forensic evidence places a vehicle driven by Hernandez at one of the crime scenes in this case.

Troopers returned to Hernandez's $1.3 million home Wednesday morning, but no one answered. Hernandez returned home during the early afternoon Wednesday, wearing a Patriots sweatshirt and a red hat and carrying what looked like a sports drink. He did not speak to a crowd of reporters staked out about 100 feet away.

Later Wednesday, at least seven state troopers searched both sides of a road just off the street where Hernandez lives. The troopers also searched the industrial park where the body was found and within the Westwood Estates development. The officers used thin poles to pull back plants and search through undergrowth along the road.

Among other items, police said they are searching for a silver mirror cover which is believed to have been broken off a vehicle and may be visible along a route of travel between Dorchester and North Attleboro.

Police have also issued a "BOLO" or "be on the lookout" for a silver Chrysler 300 rental car with Rhode Island registration which may have a connection to the homicide.

Mods - feel free to merge if you want but this seems like a pretty big development from my view so I created the new thread.

Wow - doesn't sound like this is going to end well for Hernandez. Even if he's not the murderer, they'll go after him for conspiracy to commit murder. I will be expecting arrests soon.

Under the law of parties, the driver of the getaway car is just as culpable as the trigger man. And subject to the same punishment.

Welcome to the team, Zach Sudfeld.

Yikes :bricks:

uh-oh

:(

:puke:

Not being much of a legal guy, that sounds really bad for him. While it sucks for us imagine being Hernandez living in that house and many millions more to come - and maybe ending up in jail.

Damn! Hernandez is in serious hot water. How could he get himself involved in something like this.

Is this a serious comment right now? Really?

We obviously don't know the whole story and its all developing but let's try to keep the football aspect out of this right now. That part can wait.

Imagine being Hernandez?!?! Seriously? Imagine Odin Lloyd's family right now. This guy was murdered and it seems like Hernandez has a very real role in it. Screw football. Let's try to focus about bringing the people responsible for this to justice.

I wasn't trying to be a jerk. Just saying, imagine being Hernandez. Most likely he didn't know or cause what was going to happen but because of those he was with, he's done.

looking for a chrysler 300 now? Drive by? AH and 2 buddys panicked and dumped the body?

If the cops thought it was any of the other 3 in the car I would think they all would be sitting in a holding cell right now till it's sorted out.. especially with AH having more then enough cash to just disappear.

Screw Odin Lloyd. So someone I don't know died. Happens millions of times every day. Isn't the only relevant story here Hernandez, this being a Patriots forum and all?

Sad but if you hang with thugs you go down with thugs.

Its hard to believe anyone can be this stupid.

That makes an awful lot of assumptions.

Maybe he's the ones the friends should have avoided, if these "leaks" are right

Actually, it's the contrary.

Hernandez's community ties, well known name and fame would make him more likely to not run--and for bail to be set.

But that's all irrelevant due to the fact that they need to have some reasonable suspicion just to hold him for a certain length of time, and we haven't seemed to reach that point just yet.

Remember that Hernandez is represented by top level attorneys, and the case is now under an enormous microscope throughout the world. They certainly aren't going to arrest him due to the fact that "he has some money."

Oh BS. Nobody should feel any pity for Hernandez here. He could very well be directly involved in this. Just as much as he could not have known a thing. We don't know yet.

Regardless, at the very least - he is as dumb as can be to associate himself with people such as this.

I think we can try to represent both aspects since we're not only NEP fans, but actually...human beings.

That's actually something I'd expect to hear on the gang green forum, no personal offense meant towards you.

While we all care about the story and our football team, there are other important factors at stake here and a 27 yr old human being did pass away.
