Not sure for what time the surgery was scheduled for, but I was wondering if anyone has come across any word about how it went... outlook, etc.

You guys didn't read Belichick's blog yet?

There's also this tweet from older brother Gordie, Jr.:

Congrats @RobGronkowski on ur successful surgery Bro. Goin to be scary to see u play when ur not in pain! #bepatient #staystrong #bropowers

Apparently, those "bropowers" do not yet include an adamantium skeleton.

I would hold off on the optimism. I've heard another report saying that the surgeons accidentally ripped his spine out and replaced it with several pounds of C4.

ESPN claims they heard the healing process will take 14 weeks, which is 84 days, which would mean he'd heal by Sept 10th, which is 2 days after the season opener. Take their claims for what it's worth.

Correction, 12 weeks, which is 84 days. Good thing I work with numbers lol.

Gronk reportedly woke from anesthesia moaning, "Where am I?"

Unfortunately, he does that every morning no matter where he is. :drum:

He's yet to be interviewed by the police, so that's a start.

I for one am grateful that Gronk at least has an unassailable alibi

you can set up fake alibis easily...FOOL!!!

The only thing that could possibly make this day worse is if they found out the guy who got murdered was Danny Amendola.

OK...now YOU have to step into the handy dandy disintegration shower...don't worry...the water's hot...real hot.....

Or if Gronk's surgeon reported his findings that "50% of all of his athletes were able to return in only 3 months, while the number increased to 74% after 6 months, and 82% after one year."

Oh wait...

Let's hope that Gronk falls into the first category, but to be realistic I am preparing myself for the scenario in which he'll miss 2-3-4 games or even be PUP'ed; But most importantly, life will go on!!

ESPN is eagerly waiting with baited breath for an update so they can decide which story to run:

Gronk's season is in jeopardy after back surgery

Gronk's career is in jeopardy after back surgery

Gronk's life is in jeopardy after back surgery

That's about it...besides the obvious AHern murder investigation of course.

If they run out of time to talk about those 2 items, they can show Kraft partying and/or talk about Tim Tebow.

What the hell happened in the last week?
