Tebow 'thankful' of the pats

This deserved it's own thread ... :confused2: ... :bricks:

I had no problem with what he said besides we'll be talking more soon part . No you wouldn't Tebow. That's not how we do it here. You had your little introductory press conference now to back to the field and practice.

Tebow: 'Very thankful' for Pats opportunity - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

While he has very nice things to say...why would he stop and give a "statement" ? Sometimes he invites this attention. He couldve kept quiet and going on.

It was 43 seconds of him thanking the Patriots, not taking questions, and making it clear that things are different in NE than in NY, and it was obviously done with the full knowledge of the team. Why would you take that and try to turn it into a negative issue when it's clearly not one?

Ha Ha. I guess your job got harder now huh.

It's like a No Duh moment.

What he was going to say he made Belichick an offer he could not refuse?

Tebow always thanks God and everyone else.

Did he thank the maintenance crew and his pee wee football coach yet?

So he should have just ignored all those reporters and walked on by?

I disagree. That's a sure way to fan the fires and agitate the press.

What he did was absolutely perfect. He acknowledged their presence
gave them a little statement but didn't get into a Q&A session and didn't
talk about any team specific stuff.

It doesn't matter what this cat does while he's with New England, or how well he fits in ... some people will just *****.

What is it about Tebow that makes both his fans and his detractors so silly? (I previously had written ******ed but I edited myself because I'm trying to grow as a person)

Seriously, I'm sure OP is a delightful and intelligent individual but what is your point? That the guy who said a single twitter posts's worth of words to the gaggle of reporters waiting for him was out of line?

They just can't help hating him because of what he stands for....

The only thing that I had a problem with Tebow was that he was with the jets. As long as he is not taking away snaps from Brady, let him learn from the GOAT and maybe he will be a great back up QB for Mallett when Brady retires.

What Tebow said today, I had no problem with except him saying talk to you soon. NO!, shut your mouth, learn the playbook, and get whatever brady needs such as water, a towel, food, whatever.

Ha ha. Good one.

And even better, he didn't have his own stand-alone press conference and there were probably Patriot reps/players around him at the time.

It's not NY, obviously.

One red flag that jumped out at me was his statement that he expects he can learn a lot from Tom Brady.

That strongly implies that Tebow views himself coming in here as a QB and not someone contributing primarily in another role. That's a red flag to me - but again, no harm as he needs to show Belichick he deserves a place on the roster, regardless of position.

Let's not kid ourselves - there is a reason why Tebow is not being sought as a starting QB - and despite your belief that he's been a "tremendous success" with a 7-4 record plus one playoff win, that would mean you view someone like Sanchez as an even bigger "success"!

Yep! Right now he is a number 3. Maybe he earns the number 2. Good for us. Mallett hasnt done anything. If Tebow earns the 2 spot then win for us. If he does not and contributes some other way, win for us. If he does nothing then it was nothing.

I dont see the downside.

It's disturbing to see Tim Tebow throw a javelin in a New England Patriots helmet.

Maybe this will help you see the downside:Tebow sacked 28-yard loss - NFL Videos

I just love the way that Tebow wheels back and to the right the second he realizes that Vince Wilfork is out-running him to the sideline. What a wuss.

So the downside is that he made a bad play? He is our 3rd string and our 2nd string hasnt done a thing.

At least he diddnt drop a SB clinching catch.

He is here as a QB. Why wouldn't he want to learn from Brady?

There are likely several reasons that Tebow was not being sought after as a starting QB. That really has nothing to do with Sanchez, the Tebow/Sanchez situations are radically different, and you're smart enough to know that, so I'll just assume you're trolling with this last paragraph and leave it at that.
