If you don't want kids or to be married; don't date woman in their mid 30's who have a biological clock ticking and who have said they want to be married with children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What was Tom's college degree in FOOTBALL?

The poll asks our opinion of him before and after this situation. Before, I thought Tom was a role model for kids and a class act above today's dumb spoiled professional athelete. After, I realize my assessment of Tom was wrong. He is dumb.

Okay lets suppose tom brady is at home reading these forums and he is just broken hearted by your posts. What would he have to do to redeem himself in your eyes? Win a 4th superbowl? Go back to Bridget? Submit his SAT scores to you?

Why would anyones opinion of Brady change? Why would anyone think that Brigette is a bad person?

What did they do? He didn't leave her barefoot and pregnant in a trailer park. He will not be a dead beat dad.

I'm sure that she will be a caring and loving mother. The child will want for nothing. The child will have the benefit of two good and very close families.

1. Did Tom get picked up up for OUI?
2. Did Tom get arrested for abuse?
3. Did he test positive for drugs or steriods?

Anyone who says that their opinion of him has changed negitively, as a Patriots fan, needs help. Instead of getting involved in football maybe you should get invloved with Dr Phil, Oprah, and the Hollywood Insders type scene.

This baby is relatively lucky. Mom has the financial means to see after the baby's needs. However most of the children born out of wedlock are not so lucky. The odds of a child born out of wedlock living in poverty is much higher than for a child born into a 2 parent family. The odd of a male child growing up without a father getting into trouble with the law is much higher.

This sets a bad example. It may be stupid but in our celebrity driven culture many young people see how irresponsible celebrities act and thisnk it's OK for them to do the same thing.

Will the results of this poll close the door on the issue?

Would you please just stop. This is so stupid.

I was going to but since it bothers you.

Actually, I am trying to perserve some respect for Tom. If you would like to display your idiocy upon the canvas of stupidity even more, go right ahead.

In a perfect world...
1) Stop acting like a "Celebrity" and stop dating the model bimbos for a while. Tom needs to remember if it weren't for the NFL and $$$$ these girls would want no part of him.
2) Marry the mother of his child.
3) He should apologize to America. Then tell the kids not to behave like him.

Can you arrange this?

Me and Digger will take care of it.

Me and Digger will take care of it.

Wow...if you guys could do that then I would feel as though all this time I've spent typing on this issue wasn't a total waste of time.

I could care less. Honestly, the only reason this is in the news is its Tom Brady's kid. If it was one of our kids, we would get no press, no publicity, nothing but some paperwork for child support.

In my mind, Brady is still the man I want under center for this team. Did he get caught with drugs or DUI or something we would see from a Bengals player, or get caught juicing like Merriman? No, he made a mistake, but he didn't get arrested, didn't do something illegal, just a mistake in judgement being overblown because he is one of the most famous athletes in America. Despite the fact he is a starting NFL QB and a man who we cheer for on a weekly basis for 6 months a year, he is still a human, oh well, ish happens. Its not something we all haven't seen (and maybe some of us have done or know somebody who has either made a girl pregnant out of wedlock or know a girl who has kids without marriage.)

Yes in a negative way but not because of the baby!

Best post I've read in on this topic. Willie Mcginest had a child out of wedlock and it still killed me to see him get cut last year. Ty Law has two kids out of wedlock, and I still miss seeing him play in a Patriot Uni. Deion Branch has two kids and he's not married to the mother either. I would LOVE to see all three of these guys back in a Patriot uni. Did anyone call them out? Heck I didn't even know that Willie had a daughter until I saw him holding her after the last Super Bowl, and he did not marry the mother. Where was the outcry for what they did? Oh yeah, they are not Tom Brady so it's ok for them. Their girlfriends were not FAMOUS so it was ok for those guys not to marry them. And it's ok for all of the average joe's on the street who have children out of wedlock because they are not Tom Brady.
But it's not ok for Tom Brady. We have to hold him to a higher standard.
He's not a human being prone to mistakes like the rest of us.
Tom Brady is not supposed to be human according to the judgemental holier than thou crowd around here.
The Hypocrisy over this topic drives me crazy. If people want to condemn one person for having a child out of wedlock, you better go and condemn the rest. There are A LOT of them out there.

I am only talking about this child for this couple. I don't need to be lectured about the ills of out of wedlock children in general on society. We all pay for it in many ways.

The toothpaste went out of that tube many years ago. This is not even a blip on the radar screen.

I really wish that this stuff can be taken out of the football forum. Even the Globe put it on their "Living" section and out of the Sports section.

Could a mod on this forum merge all of these type threads and send them to the General Discussion forum. That is really where they belong.

Another Brick in the wall.

This isn't even a big deal. Just because it's Tom Brady, greatest quarterback ever, and Bridget Moynahan, little miss actress, people talk about it. Seriously now, people actually have sex. I know, its hard to believe. And people also get pregnant. I know, its tough. I'm amazed at the people that act like Tom has done something against the law. Please point out where it is illegal to get your ex girlfriend of 3 years pregnant. It's not like he did a hit and run and got the woman pregnant.
