the buzz around this series reminds me of bruins vs canucks 2 years ago with the bruins as the underdogs. hopefully the results will be the same. expect lots of crying and flopping by pitt. the bruins have to stay out of the box.

if the bs stay out of the box i think they will fare well in this series.

They really are two very different teams.

Pitt with amazing O..sub par d and sub par G

Bs with okay O..great D and very good G

Will be a fun series. I wouldn't mind cooke getting an elbow to the face...loser

I think it will be a series to remember. very intense and very close. but fun isn't a word I would use to describe it. I know it will be agony for me to watch. i just get all to wrapped up in it. I hate pitt with a passion. that team ended two bruin careers. cam Neely and marc savard. there will be lots of f bombs and things being thrown all over the place mixed with extremely loud screams of joy . a roller coaster ride. this is one of those series you just want them to win really bad.

this is going to be a tough one...the Pens are obviously favored and with good reason. They have an all star team and an outstanding O.

I am pumped for this one and i hope Krug remains in the lineup. He reminds me of Marchand in the way of not really having great measureables, but he can just play hockey. there is really no way to explain it. Kind of like a Chris Durry...just a flat out good hockey player who comes up big in big situations. A pure winner and I love it!

LETS GO BRUINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lets see how the great Bs D does against their O and how our O does against their sub par D

Crosby hasn't been himself and is -1 so far this postseason. Iginla is an even zero. The top Penguins are Letang and Martin at +7.

Nathan Horton is +14! Holy crow! Krejci and Lucic are +9.

Then again, Kelly is -6, Peverly is -4 and Seguin and Jagr are -2...yuck! Also interesting that Bartkowski is -1, given the general perception that he has played well.

I can't wait for Saturday.

Unlike the Canucks the Pens can be physical. To win the series the B's have to hope Vokoun comes back to earth and that Tuukka can steal one. The Flyers have had the best success against them and have done it with a combination of beating them up and opening it up. I know the B's can do the first part the second I'm not sure Claude will let them. Krug and Bartkowski need to continue to play big roles in moving the puck. They won't be able to trap like they did against the Rangers forwards.

i think they split in pitt..not sure if they will steal game 1 or two

The Pens CAN be physical.

I am torn on this one, I got my neighborhood boy #87 playing for the Pens but I love the Bruins style of play and the make up of their team, physical. By virtue of proximity there are a lot of fans in the Maritimes that are big Bruins fans, including my bro.

I am ok with either team winning, as long as it is good hockey. I think sub-consciously though I want the Bruins to win...seems to me they are a bit of an underdog in this series.

f-ck the penquins. I don't care what kind of hockey it is as long as the bruins advance.

We'll be in tough, no doubt. The Pens are indeed an all-star team at forward. Honestly, I think the youth on defense will only help the Bruins, in the sense that their nature is to be fearless, and they don't know enough to be scared of the Pens. If I was a betting man, I'd take the Pens in 6, but if the B's can control the play the way they did last series, they have a decent shot. They need to be strong in the circle again, have the defense play agressively but responsibly, and to bury their chances. This is Seguin's time to shine.

KROOOOOOOOOOG!

I agree..the B's need to play to the whistle, no more. I think the Penguins can be intimidated...and the only team left in the 2013 playoffs who would be able to do that the best is the Bruins.

They walked all over a more talented Vancouver team a couple years ago in the finals (mind you the Canucks decided they did not want to score that series, but they DID have a chance to stick up for themselves...and failed miserably).

This is really anybody's series. I do not believe that the Pens are head and shoulders talent wise above Boston. They are talented yes but not by a large margin.

Play physical and they are in this series, that goalie has been tested by the 8th seeded Islanders and they got to him pretty good.

Anybody's series...

They are really lucky to be up 1-0 at the end of the first. The Pens looked so much smooter and faster. The B's power pllay was awful. The worst period of hockey from Chara in a long time. Rask was awesome. The Pens are cheating up the ice for the fast break a lot. Defense needs to be more aware. Krug almost got caught a few times.

The B's PP reminded me of the Rangers PP in game 3, confused and awful.
I agree the Pens look smoother and more threatening, however, they look to be risking some odd man rushes to keep the offensive pressure on. The B's need to make them pay for that and force a step back.
Also, a couple of egregious miscues. That can't happen! Pens have to earn every goal -- easy goals will sink the B's.
Not entirely unhappy -- including the score of 1-0 -- as I thought the B's would have to win by gritting it out. This was a 'grit out' in period 1.

Damn, the Pens are so fast. I wish Jagr would score so he can quit pressing so much. The guy is so damn old and its kind of showing already.
