Well, There Goes The TJ Moe Experiment-Waived

Just read on ESPN that TJ Moe was waived.

Hopefully he makes it to IR and then gets a year to learn the system. Best case scenario for a guy who would have had a tough time making the final roster this season.

I'm sorry to people that were a fan of him but the fear of carrying 3 white slot WRs on the 53 is gone. :)

Moe was waived/injured. If someone doesn't do the Ballard thing
and claim him, he will probably be put on IR and be available next year.

red shirt year

He was waived/injured. That doesn't end the "experiment" as you put it. It's unlikely he'll be claimed and he'll revert to the IR.

That will scare off suitors I suspect unless the Giants are so pissed at us that they grab him out of spite. I would not blame them...

Well, they had a chance last year with Dane Fletcher and passed right then and there. My guess is the Giants will pass on Moe, too.

I would not blame them...

Few folks have a lower opinion of the aggregate FootBall IQ of the League's Leaders than I...

But I cannot imagine any of them being stupid enough to damage their own Team out'f Spite.

*Moe's going to need 2013 to heal.

*And then he's going to need 2014 to Take It Back Through The Gears.

*Therefore ~ as History tells us all ~ we're probably looking at 2015 before he's rocking & rolling for a full Year.

*And he's a "Wide Receiver" ~ a Gig that usually takes a few Years to get down in the best of Circumstances.

*He is a UFA.

*And he is a SlotBack.

I really don't think we have to sweat this one out, Bro. ;)

Moe's all done???

well...perhaps we can talk Curley out of retirement....

Tough situation for Moe - torn Achilles should take year to fix fully heal - will be shocked if someone picked up an rookie unrestricted free agent with a torn Achilles

The league should let players on IR take practice snaps - they don't but they should. In seven months the Pats will be practicing and Moe should be able to do limited things. The ability to take practice snaps in that situation could mean the difference between making a team in the future or not.

They also should end the requirement that players cut have to go through waivers before signing with the practice squad.
