Speaking of that whole Rutgers thing:

Apparently the new Athletic Director at Rutgers has some serious baggage too. She was hired to clean up the mess left by the last bunch, but she seems to be pressed from the same mold.

New athletic director at scandal-scarred Rutgers reportedly accused of emotional abuse of players | Fox News

This is fantastic:

In the letter submitted by all 15 team members, the players said Hermann called them "whores, alcoholics and learning disabled" and they wrote: "It has been unanimously decided that this is an irreconcilable issue." The players told The Star-Ledger that Hermann absorbed the words and said: "I choose not to coach you guys."

What a mess - didn't they do a proper background check on her? Should be interesting to see how this plays out.

The firm of Moe, Larry and Curly do the background checks.......

Unfortunately for her, the governor ( who has some say in these matters as Rutgers is public) is plain spoken and possibly running for President. While he was not involved in the search process, he will have some say going forward..... I have to believe that one member of that 1996 team was the one who released the letter....Karma baby, karma....and payback is a beatch...
If they let her stay, it negates all the work cleaning up the last mess.....

Hope her next job is at the NY Jets.

I find the whole thing entertaining.

I know. It's like an accident that you can't take your eyes off of. You don't WANT to look, but you can't stop yourself from staring.

File under the "What Were They Thinking" section.

She looks like Jack Palance with a wig. I thought most schools have separate athletic directors for male and female athletic programs. Putting a woman in charge of men's athletics seems like trouble waiting to happen.

I think Geno Auriemma would disagree (even more closer to the opposite gender then an A.D.).
I think verbal abuse can inflict more pain then physical.

Jack Palance with a wig?????????????????????

Having been on many academic search committees I can tell you virtually every member of those committees is scared to death of the liability that comes with the responsibility. From the very beginning of the process, if you know something negative about a candidate, make sure that he or she is not on the interview list or you may find yourself in court should you choose not to interview them. The rules are so arcane that you'd have to be a good lawyer to not run afoul of them. This case seems like a clear, open-shut case where you'd be safe to say "no, not her," but as a member of that committee, if you make that assumption, you're already in trouble.

This is why so many academic search committees turn their reference checking over to professional head-hunters who usually make a dog's breakfast of the job and end up recommending a list of candidates that no one wants.
Reason # 24 why I'm happy to be retired.

So, do you think she's toast? It seems so strange she "can't remember" receiving that letter from her players ...

There was also a behavioral incident where she showed questionable character at a wedding. She took the same evasive tactic and said,"I don't even remember being at that wedding." Then someone said,"You don't? You even caught the boquet."
Now, somebody sign HER. She'd be our big bodied receiver who can catch in heavy traffic.
Oh, as if there aren't enough dykes (you guys are all thinking it. I'll say it. elephant in the room anybody? lol.) enough dykes around me down here in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. They moved in en masse about 4 years ago & have been infiltrating my building. Say goodbye to property value. My moron Polish immigrant landlord has no gaydar whatsovever. I asked him,"Yo, you can't tell that you're renting to lesbians these days? The last three chicks you let in here were all dykes." He grumbles,"Ehhh... who can tell?" I go,"Well, that's because all the females in your Polish immigrant surroundings are all harsh, severe, and cold. The whole Eastern Block Slavic thing. Even the females growl 'I crrrushhh you. I am strong... like bull!'"

It's like 50% bull dykes waiting with me on the subway platform over here in the mornings. It's like they all met on the internet and said,"Okay everybody. We're moving to Greenpoint, Brooklyn to set up our own little community."
There goes the neighborhood. Ya feel enough like a loser not living in Manhattan, ya gotta pile on ugly self-loathing dykes as neighbors too? That makes it even worse. Like I gotta look at another one at Rutgers.
Oh, kill me now.:bricks:
