what surprises me is the Boston media has not printed one word about the noticeable lack of ANY response by Wes Welker to the Boston Marathon incident....every single day his hair replacement ad plays on all the media outlets in southern New England, yet when you google "Welker makes pledge to Marathon victims" you get link after link after tens of links of "Amendola makes pledge to bombing victims" with ZERO reference to Wes Welker.
I tried all kinds of searches and all I really come up with is THIS one quote from Wes Welker..
In his press conference with the Broncos on Thursday, Welker told the press that the hardest part of leaving New England was splitting up with Tom Brady, his friend.
Yeah, that was definitely probably the hardest part, leaving Tom. He’s a great competitor, a great player, a great friend across the board. I wish the best to him.
Welker agreed to a two year deal with Denver worth $12 million. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Patriots and Welker couldn’t agree with a long term deal, and that’s why he went with Denver. That pairs him with Peyton Manning, and an organization run by John Elway.
He has never mentioned US, the fans...nor the coaching staff or the owner...at least not that I can find. I tried
"Welker thanks the New England fans" in Google and got absolutely ZERO. I take that as, " screw New England, screw the fans, what bombing?...listen to my hair ad..."...a little harsh on my part???...OK, well then, WHERE is ANY statement from Welker since?..seems odd, you play six seasons here, the fans wear your jersey and wildly cheer for you, you play in the postseason every year and make the Super Bowl TWICE....<crickets>...
"go see my hair doctor"...that's all I can get when I search NFLN, ESPN, Boston Herald, Globe,Patriots message boards and twitter...is there some secret "Welker speaks!" site I don't know about?
or is it exactly what it looks like?...am I being too much of a "jilted lover syndrome" sour grapes fan?...is it he thinks it's classier to say NOTHING now that he plays in Denver? ...really??? then how do you explain THIS from a guy who openly despises BB and the Pats...

I'm not surprised Welker bolted...just like I'm not suprised when he ran his mouth on national TV about Rex Ryan's toes against the expressed wishes of the team he played for, the NEP. That's who he REALLY is.
