Early Madden '08 Cover Predictions

O.K. I know its a bit early,but I will keep this until the actual player is announced by EA Sports which is sometime in May I believe and we will see who the guy is in this forum with some crystal ball-like prediction talent and who gets it right.

Which NFL player will make the cover of Madden 08 thus be in jeopardy of 'The Curse'?

I hope its not Maroney or or Samuel as they would be the guys on the Pats most likely- I know its not going to be Chad Jackson because you have to play for more than 20 offensive plays a year to count - and I know it won't be Reche Caldwell because his eyes alone would take up the whole cover (just kiddin' Reche fans) so my guess is it will be.......

I believe Manning has a contract with Xbox for that game,which sucked by the way..So no,he is not eligible from what I understand.... Just like Brady can only do NFL Gameday cover like in 2003 which I don't think is made yearly anymore.

The focus of the game is supposed to be on the WR position this year, so I think Chad Johnson is a good bet as well.

Exactly. The cover shows what changes the new version has. I never understood people still believe it is only a popularity contest. If they intend to improve WR gameplay, they will probably show a WR.

I seriously doubt it will be Chad Johnson considering the fact that he is already on the cover of NFL Street 3 - So its very unlikely

2 good choices but I wonder if they won't be because they are just to be 2nd year players.....if I am correct EVERY Madden Cover Player since 1999 (on ps1 back then) has been in the league at least 3 or more years when they were picked for the cover...That would eliminate those 2 guys if thats the case.

By the way I pick Jason Taylor of Miami - He deserves the honor more than most if a Defensive player is picked. - If it is an offense player I pick Frank Gore
