Great! Good for them. As long as NE has the best team, Miami can award themselves anything they want. ;)

Brian Hartline Says Dolphins Have Better Receiving Corps Than Patriots, Rest of AFC East | Miami Dolphins | NESN.com

On paper they have some dynamic receivers by past experience, but we shall see who laughs last by January.

Hartline himself is a helluva receiver, and I like Mike Wallace. I'd have to say on paper, I agree with him. The Pats have A LOT of questionmarks. Injured guys, guys who are injury prone, rookies. There's a lot of IFS with our receivers. IF Amendola stays healthy, IF the other receivers could learn our playbook and be productive, IF Gronk and Hernandez can stay healthy. BUT, outside of Welker and LLoyd, I like our depth receivers better than last years group.

Don't they all suck? No AFCE team even has average WRs.

If you look at just WR's he is likely correct, at least in terms of body of work. If you include the TE's and RB's and compare total receiving corps I could go make a case for us.

Top 5 options

Patriots

Gronk
Hernandez
Amendola
Dobson
Boyce/Jones/Hawkins/?

Dolphins

Wallace
Hartline
Gibson
Keller
Sims/?

I don't think either team has a definitive advantage at this point.

that's like being the prettiest girl at the ugly girl convention. It doesn't mean much!

Doh!

:bricks:

In May? Yes they do.

In September, game one? Who knows.

In December/January? Jebus, NO ONE knows.

Include the tight ends? Balderdash.

Having the best receivers doesnt mean you have a quarterback who can deliver it to you......

I don't think Hartline's point is even up for debate.

I do. These bolded above can't stay healthy, unfortunately.

On paper, the Dolphins' receiving corps looks impressive. They've re-tooled their TE position, and Wallace works well with what they do. Hartline was hard to stop last year without Wallace forcing safeties to stay deep. That being said, Tannehill is still the one throwing them the ball and I'm not all that impressed with their OL when it comes to pass protection.

True but it is also worth mentioning that despite that Gronkowski has more touchdown catches in the last 2 years than Wallace, Hartline and Keller combined.

All in all Hartline should feel they have the best group but in reality its something that should be evaluated at the end of the the season.

Does it matter? We have Tom Brady

i dunno they have one of the top 4 QB's in the afc east

Considering the QB situation in the AFC East he might be top 2 already. Oh well...another division title for us i guess.

As they learned with Brandon Marshall, past achievements don't necessarily equate to production and happiness in Dolphinland.

There should be no excuses for Tannehill though. He has the toys he wanted and they should be a couple of steps ahead of the Jets and Bills.

So what. The Pats have the best O-line, the best QB and the best NT. :confused2:

Like it ******* matters with Ryan Tannehill at QB.
