It's not accurate, it's the biggest bullcrap ever to remark that Brady ducking is a result of seeing ghosts. Brady phantom ducked again once this year, and we had a long post listing all the ducks that worked.

Brady ducks. A LOT. And most of the time he does it to great effect. Ask JJ Watt. If some people want to see Brady stand tall and get walloped all the times he would otherwise avoid pass rushers, they are missing the point--and the point is this: WINNING!

Also, I think the Steelers did well in man-to-man because the Pats weren't expecting it. Every time Brady faced the Steelers, they played zone. I think the Pats were caught off guard.

Clark brings up the Jets when mentioning Brady seeing ghosts, but fails to mention that the Pats are 4-0 vs. the Jets since that playoff game. And over those four games, Brady has thrown for 9 TDs and only one INT. That playoff game against the Jets looks to he yet another example of the Pats being caught off guard by a team that threw out their go-to playbook and threw something completely different at them.

James Harrison found work with an AFC North rival. It seems teams care little for the rhetoric of players if they can play. Clark (IMO) is a reasonable player.

If Brady's 'seeing ghosts' or 'soft' or whatever else people like Ryan Clark claim, then I'm totally fine with that. He understands that there's value in staying healthy, which is exactly why he'll be a top-tier quarterback long after Big Ben is sent to the scrap heap, despite being five years older.

There are a lot of reasons why the Steelers missed the playoffs last year, but Byron Leftwich and Charlie Batch starting 3 games was a big one.

If you're willing to spend an entire offseason cooking up a new strategy, then unveil it against the Pats in a regular season game, then you have a pretty good shot at winning the game. Then again, I'd argue that showing your hand like that just for the benefit of a regular season win is pretty extreme. Better organizations tend to take a longer view of this stuff.

That's the thing -- the blueprint on how to beat the Pats under Belichick is pretty obvious, yet very few players and analysts seem to understand. You have to do something completely different than what you've done in your most recent games in general, and against the Pats specifically, and of course you need to do it well. This certainly isn't easy -- the "do it well" part is certainly tough -- but it's been done. The aforementioned Jets, Steelers, and Dolphins games, plus the Browns and 09 Broncos games are other obvious examples.

I find it baffling that, on the one hand, these people cry "cheaters!" over SpyGate and claim the Pats knew every play that was coming. Yet on the other hand, when they try something new on the Pats and they win, they think that the new plan itself is the magic formula on how to beat the Pats. And they get stunned when that magic formula -- the Wildcat, or the Jets/Browns amoeba, or Tebow's offense -- suddenly doesn't work the second time. Everyone should know by now that the Pats *breathe* film, yet most opponents don't know how to use this to their advantage, or don't recognize it when they stumble across it.

Let's hope it stays that way.
